3 Variants of No Man's Sky steelbook

This is a little worrying...well for me! I've spotted 3 different steelbooks for No Man's Sky;

Steelbook 1 (UK) - note the border round the front and the white text;

I believe the second pic (US v1) is the same as the third pic. The text looks different because of the lighting

I don't think so, there are other pictures and it looks like white test...I'll try find them

actually, look again - the light and dark patches (the design) are reversed - it's definitely 2 different designs (for US)!

actually, the design 'flips' depending on angle/light etc and as you say the text looks white but can be indented. I've watch a few unboxings now and I'm still unsure, this is a US one and it clearly looks like the PS4 logo is white and flat vs the picture above which looks indented - @ 3:40ish you get a fairly good view;

In my opinion it's not worth to pay extra money for these Steelbooks, there is not so big difference between them.

yes, watching a few unboxings the UK one doesn't seem so bad...however I am still tempted if I can find a reasonably price one

Yeah.

I had the US Steelbook with white text from the pics, and bought one with reversed color from eBay, and they look exactly the same. They looked different in the pics because of the lighting.

Cheers, are you able to confirm if the ps logo on the back is printed flat or indented (like the last picture I posted)?

Both the title and logo are indented

If they have big print run and those CE's end in "clearance sale" bin; then yeah...

It's definitely decreased. Well, I can't speak for the European version with the indented borders. But my local Bestbuy was selling the sealed NA version (the one with indented text and no borders) for $10. So happy I didn't buy the collector's edition at launch just for the steelbook :)
