Just ordered this as my N7 day present :) There are 2 versions available at the bioware store, remote controlled and regular model, $200 and $100 respectively. Also available with the game for an extra 60 (US ONLY)

Remote control version is smartphone app controlled and has built in camera. Also remote control version is numbered, regular isn't.

They say numbered, but is it a limited number, or is it numbered the same way as Borderlands 2 Loot chest was!? :rotf: Need more info before commiting to one or the other. >.<

Wtf? Up on Game and the remote version is £280?! Plus no mention of a steelbook with either version...

Really disappointed though, I always can't stand remote control toys with CEs, they end up just looking cheap compared to a proper replica or statue with a game; from the pictures so far this looks like no exception.

Also no artbooks or art cards/lithographs? Lame.

Here's hoping they have something a bit more substantial still to reveal.

Yeah. Was so amp'd for this game/edition but at least it'll keep another $200 or so in my back pocket. Numbered or not, there's no discount with the RC, no game included, and (like Halo 5) just a random steelbook (that looks pretty blah) tossed into it to appease/lure those of us who put that as a "must" on our list... nope. Not gonna do it.

So far Titanfall 2, Gow4, and now this... feels like its getting easier and easier to tell them to keep their over-priced/over-sized CEs!

GAME UK is offering a mini non remote version, 1:64 scale with the game for £55. So you could get the remote version from bioware store and then the game with the mini version from GAME and it still works out cheaper than buying just the full sized remote version from GAME.

Think I might do this. Do you think the model vehicle will be the same as what is being offered by Bioware store and GAME fucked up the price? o.0 Best get pre-orders in now in case they realize. :clap:

Btw I just spotted, on Amazon and the Bioware Store they both say that the non-remote version is 1:18 scale, but on the Game site they say it's a 1:64 scale and they don't mention about it needing batteries.

Game also doesn't say it includes a Steelbook.

Plus if you look at the remote version, adding in the price of a game at say $60, it works out at about £210 so why is the Game listing so much more? (Again, without steelbook.)

As it is the whole thing is a bit of a confusing, disappointing mess.

I've pre ordered both, the remote without game from BW and the 'mini' with PS4 game from GAME. Like you said hopefully they messed up and its the full sized one, if not ahh well :P

It's a bit up in the air atm agreed, I'm not disappointed with it though, quite looking forward to the remote controlled Nomad, and obviously hyped AF for the game itself :P

Holy shit, that genuinely looks like Poundland levels of cheap and nasty from the video and picture! Then filter in that the r/c car plus the game costs £280 and I'm stunned.

(Apologies for linking to a rag like that but can't really see it anywhere else.)

I have to admit, so far until now I'm really disappointed with any fancy editions of this in the UK. All we seem to have is a small die cast model or that big nasty lump of plastic, both with just a standard copy of the game and no mention of a steelbook or proper alternatives.

Try looking at the UK versions so far though, the steelbook is only listed as coming with the big heap of junk and that's what I was meaning by us not getting a steelbook was that we'd have to apparently fork over £280 for what looks like a £15 child's toy, the game and a steelbook.

I meant it as we have no smaller proper alternative. We don't get the same die cast set as the US and instead get a car that someone else said you can pick up separately anyway.

This is the disappointing part, there seems to be no word as to why the UK is until now getting the choice of a watered down version of the US die cast or the expensive one.

At the moment and since it was listed it's a standard copy of the game, no steelbook and it's only a mini die cast. 1:64 compared to 1:18 (IIRC on the ratios).

The die cast Game has is also listed on Best Buy for 15CAD.

Honestly I'm finding it hard to get excited about the game at this point because it feels like I'm chasing my tail trying to find out information that should've been plainly announced.

I also wanted a proper version to go next to ME 1-3 on my shelf, not just a standard case and that's really disappointing that I won't get that.

The last thing is that I wanted the bonus DLC items and would've been willing to pay the extra for a code but they can absolutely go and get fucked if they think I'm paying £65/£80 for a digital copy of a game.

I think the ratios are right, even if the guy in the RC demo in a previous post said it was 1:64.
And while I'm on the topic of that video, anyone get why the box is modeled after the Tempest instead of the Nomad?

It would be a really weird decision but it certainly looks like it's true.

Yeah I think they are handling it pretty bad, I've seen them answer a question about it on Twitter and the answer is just "Keep a look out at your local retailer" which answers nothing.

I feel the same way, if they don't release it here then I think I will wait until the game gets a bit cheaper before I buy. I'm a really big fan of ME 1-3 but if they don't want my money I can certainly wait before I play it.

According to EA (https://help.ea.com/en-za/help/mass-effect/mass-effect-andromeda/mass-effect-andromeda-pre-order/) the Diecast should be available in Europe. But if that's true it really should have showed up somewhere in Europe by now, I mean two months is a pretty long time when it comes to CEs.

I quoted the relevant part:

Why is the Collector’s Edition not currently available in every market worldwide?
There are some markets where retailers haven’t loaded up the CE on their systems yet, or haven’t loaded up the bundled offering. This is normal for the retail market and we are currently working with our partner to get the CE in retailers around the world. The R/C version is listed for $199 at Best Buy. GAME UK is pretty overpriced compared to this but I expect they will lower the price in upcoming weeks.

On gamestop.de they are out of stock and on game they only have the remote version listed at 250 pounds. I am thinking to buy the diecast version from Amazon US, it will be around 144 euro shipped to EU

To point out, Game do not have the proper die cast version. What Game had is a tiny little toy car like a Hotwheels.

Nowhere in the UK got the proper die cast for preorder.

They really screwed Europe on this one where the majority of Europe didn't seem to get the die cast version (and GameStop.de wouldn't ship outside Germany) and nowhere got a physical deluxe/super deluxe version. In the UK for example we have the option of digital to get deluxe stuff right away, standard edition or £250 cheap and nasty looking RC car version.
