Appreciate all the PMs and postings here about this! I had seen in after I signed off and went on Twitter. Stayed up for an hour or two, and then figured it was going to go live around three-ish. Set an alarm but accidentally hit snooze and apparently miss the Amazon live by 10 minutes. Was able to order on Gamestop for significantly more of course two minutes later. But then I somehow fell asleep and totally forgot to order the switch. That stinks. Adulting is tough sometimes haha!

Nintendo is really weird sometimes. USA or Europe. One of them always gets butchered in terms of Collector's Edition content or release dates. For a few years we Europeans were in favor but since last year I think it's the opposite. Disappointing.

I guess it really depends on where you are. When I was living in Indiana, it usually took 5 days after I place an order.

Here in Dallas it usually takes 2-3 days, sometimes up to 5 days. For preorders, I usually get them 1 day after launch.

I always use the value shipping option, which is the cheapest and sometimes free. Most stuff were shipped from Texas, mostly Dallas.

It's not only scalpers who pick these up, there are literally thousands of Zelda fans world wide, and this is one of the first actual collectors editions available for it and for a new system at that, bound to be sold out.

But yes, using page monitor alerts through web browsers, signing up for mobile alerts via multiple and various related twitter accounts, apps with instant notifications such as WeChat and WhatsApp etc, and frequenting many forums are all ways that those who are interested in acquiring ANYTHING of limited availability (i.e. Amiibo) do it. There's also using past behavioral analysis such as the fact Amazon.com typically seems to do resets and updates ~0000-0100PST, and other knowledge regarding other retailers online behavior (or "inside info" via Reddit groups and such) also help those who are looking. I'm not a "scalper", but these are some of the tools any savvy fan needs to use to acquire certain limited items sans paying eBay bloated prices or having extremely good "luck".

Hope that helps you in your search... unless you're a scalper in training, then forget everything I said. In that case, they usually download all sorts of amazing tools and cd-key crackers and full length movies via torrents and such to help them... don't worry, those alerts about malware are all fake! ;)

They are stripping multiple copies per users and limiting it to 1 per customer (as it should be). Thankfully, mine was not canceled.
Kinda weird though since I never had multiple copies of the master edition.

Thanks vhal....I ordered 2, so even if they relist my second copy it will be available for all of 0.00000000001 seconds. But Amazon can't be dumb enough (can they?) to list this edition with no order limit (or at least a relatively high order limit), only to strip multiple-copy orders a week before release and then relist the edition at some point later on.

Fortunately I prepared for this a little bit and placed a backup order at GameStop. Hopefully Amazon is the only one that tries to screw me, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Same here. I've been stalking this thread since I found out I missed my window to buy one of these Collector's Editions.

If anyone gets buyer's remorse, wants to cancel or simply got one too many, keep in mind the people that couldn't get a pre-order in the first place. ;)

You should get an email from Gamestop customers service if payment is declined. They ask you to sort things out with your credit card company before they cancel any orders. I got such an email yesterday and instantly called my credit card company. So hopefully my card can be charged now :barsong:

I'm surprised that they shipped different orders in one package, never happened to me. I'd suggest just let it be as I'm 99% sure your complaint won't give you any positive result.

That's the thing, they were both on the same order... 0.o I thought maybe because of he size of the item, it would warrant 2 separate packages, but they were both in the same box. 0.o Should I complain? Gamestop as a company in my experience is much less inclined to see your side in this (any) situation then somewhere like Amazon. They have always been heavy on the shipping charges though that was extra dirty to bust you twice for one box. If you get a friendly rep or can go to the store in person you could have good results, but your time may be worth more than the credit you might get.

Got my Master Edition and not a mark on it. I was worried since Nintendo refuses to wrap their CE's for whatever reason. I think they enjoy torturing collectors. :lmao:

I also had two different orders. One for the Master and one for the Special Edition but they were shipped in different packages. Postage was only $30 per edition.
