I played the demo and the game kinda sucks balls and now there are 2 different steelbooks?

I was pretty hyped by the reveal for this game, but gameplay trailers since then have been disappointing. It looks very generic. Like your typical zombie game.

So the it seems like that the Geo Pre-Order steelbook and the Collector's Edition and Limited Edition steelbook are the same.

Can you show us more photos of the US limited or collector's edition steelbook? I think I have seen a difference about the artwork of the steelbook on the backside compared to the european one.

This is the US collector's edition. I think the difference between this and special editions are the disc holders since collector's one has one more to hold the physical soundtrack. And two lines on the top and bottom are actual concave lines, making the steelbook look like a leather bag. Sorry about my English, I practice it everyday but still have not got any better. ^^

This is the European steelbook. I don't know much about this one but I got this one month before the game came out. I remember this version of steelbook came with the standard game but it was for europe only at first and then one month later it allowed to ship worldwide.

Just wondering as I seen this thread pop up but for anyone with the dark limited/collector's steelbook, is it just me or does it feel weirdly flimsy?

I'm not at all knocking the looks or anything but what I specifically mean is that the metal seems almost thinner than other steelbooks I've got and even through normal actions like just opening the case it feels sort of bendy and like it wouldn't take much force at all to bend it out of shape. (To the point that at first I had a good look to check if mine actually was curbed or bent.) It crossed my mind that maybe it's got something to do with the way it's been embossed but I could of course just be imagining it all.

Glad it isn't just me! Lol. I felt the same way when I first opened the Steelbook to remove the game. The Red EU Steel had no such issue.

I have both steelbooks so I can confirm:
1. US version has much brighter color
2. it does not have the logo (days gone plus the surrounding rectangular) engravement
3. instead it has engravement along all the major lines (horizontal and vertical) on both front and back

And I feel the US version is more flimsy than the EU one maybe due to the engravement...

Amazon's steelbook version of Days Gone is currently on special offer for £39.99. Does anyone think it's likely to sell out soon? Not sure if I should wait for it to come down in price more.

Not sure if the EU and GEO steels are different (I don't have the EU steel). But I have the NA and GEO steels and there are some differences for sure. Title on spine uses different colours and the NA is engraved in different places.
