Gamestop Ireland have the CE up. I'm lucky in that I live on the same island up in the North of Ireland. So I just ordered it with a 5 euro deposit, and then I can travel for an hour or so to pick it up.

Might be some region issues; I'm not sure.

But heads up for anyone who lives in Northern Ireland.

Since it isn't offered by Gamestop, Amazon, Game or any other bigger online shop in EU / UK I think it's safe to say that the Ellie Edition is US exclusive.

Agreed. I think CEs in general are getting more and more overpriced. Not saying this is not, but if this is coming from EA or Ubisoft, the collector’s edition (not Ellie Edition) would cost $220. Tbh I think the statue looks cheap and bad.

You are correct, 200/250 is a normal price tag nowadays.

Same here. These days I'll tend to only make an exception if it's something I'm really into like this or Death Stranding for example.

I think the last big editions I got were probably Rage 2 because of both loving the first game and I liked the grotesque face thing it came with, then before that the Medusa Edition of AC Odyssey (which in itself was a first for me not getting the biggest edition released for AC) and even before that I'm just drawing a blank back until the Far Cry 5 Hope County one with the mounted deer skull which is awesome (unlike, very sadly, the worst story and mission progression system of any Far Cry game released).

Aside from those nowadays I'm usually good with the "special" or whatever it is because the prices seem to keep shooting up and up but the actual quality isn't matching this increase in most cases.

Same here, I am pretty selective these days. I bought Hitman (briefcase one), Borderlands 3, and One Piece World Seeker only this year... and of those only One Piece was worth the money, the rest were overpriced/overhyped/of poor quality.

i still believe since this game is a AAA blockbuster and within months of the PS5 console release..i bet there will be a "game of the year" type upsized edition for the PS5 holiday 2020 launch window, that new console launch window is all but confirmed..there's soo much money invested into this game, it would be foolish for Sony to NOT have a PS5 version, especially during the buzz around the console launch window...i'm NOT gonna get it for PS4..because i really believe a PS5 much improved version will come out!

The PS5 has been confirmed to be backwards compatible with PS4 games. Expect a patch that will further enhance the frame rate/resolution for PS5. That's about it. No point to re-release a game on a platform that's its already compatible on.

It seems even the Asia release is going to be extremely limited as well. Most shops are getting like 1-2 at most.
