Not sure if you managed to find it but EB games is the only place I've seen so far in Canada. When I saw it Ellie edition was sold out but collectors was available. Now they are both sold out. If you didn't manage to get one go to your local store. They are slotted a certain amount o'er store that they don't offer online. I was 1st at my store to preorder so even if they only get 1 of each they are mine. Hope you can snag one!

I have to admit that despite it still being under 24 hours I expected them to be sold out way sooner like what happened with the Death Stranding one, they must have had a fair chunk of stock to have lasted about 22 hours.

Unfortunately scalpers are a part of our hobby. I’m not a fan of going through eBay when it comes to stuff either and I HATE people making money off of others hard work just by posing it on eBay but sometimes I find I don’t have a choice.

How do you guys handle the risk that at the end you will receive nothing from that scalpers? Release date is far away and I guess eBay buyer protection does not cover such a long period.

Not to mention that selling items not yet released is against their policy. I am always shocked they keep supporting these pre-order listings instead of wiping them out.

I think it's definitely a risk, only reason I took it is cos I bought from this seller multiple times before and he has very good feedbacks. There were cheaper options by up too 100$, was tempted, but not as many feedbacks so I didn't want to risk it since the cost is already hefty as hell.

What my seller informed me:
1. No order cancellations can be made as this wait is fairly long
2. Presale confirmation given to me through message
3. Monthly updates from seller to ensure my order is not forgotten and secured starting Nov 1 and every month up until release date.

It definitely sucks to miss out on stuff. Waiting forever for the news on the special editions, only to miss the reveal by a day or two, then to go PO only to find that you already missed the window! It’s like sheesh! I’ve been waiting forever for this and now I’ve already missed it!

I WILL end up with an Ellie Edition and the statue I know that for a fact! Cause I know I will part with my hard earned money because having these in my collection brings me joy.

I remember when years ago I tried to win the Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition I told my family what it was going for on eBay. I’m sure if I had won one they would have expected me to sell it for a couple grand. But I didn’t care what it was worth online I would never sell it.

Nope, I wish. I was washing my car when I checked the page that time. It took me a bunch of times to get all the way through checkout. It would remove it from my cart and say it was no longer available, but I kept adding it back and finally got it through. i can't believe this game is going to be surrounded in controversy soo close to release window..it might damage sales because of the social justice warriors or activist crowds wanting to boycott the game for political points or agendas...i think at the end of the day..all the game developers were paid quite handsomely, are being told to await bonuses and on top of overtime pay for the crunch hours, they got FREE WHOLESOME meals and were encouraged to take several breaks throughout the shift..it would be a true honor to work and develop legendary naughty dog games..i can't believe all the complaints and griping, especially now with the on going world events..the leak will bring bad press to sony and the game's launch promo's..a lot of people will NOT want to support purchasing the game..which if naughty dog is marginalized as part of "cancel culture" then it's possible, SONY might begin to disavow them if their's too much negativity or blow back on social media. to the workers who feel injustices, with having the prestige of naughty dog on their resume, they can easily leave and work for other developers or microsoft etc..why be vengeful? and take it out on everyone else? like the fans?..this isn't healthy to say the least!

I look at Ellie's face and I see the face of the statues of Catholic saints made of resin, sorry :lol:
In the unboxing I realized that the items included are the same as the Collector's Edition of God of War and Days Gone

Pre-ordered CE at Amazon FR last year, instead of receiving my edition I got an email from them yesterday, that they expecting stock between August 6-12. In other words, I still cannot be sure that they will got enough and that I will get mine.

Pre-ordered Ellie edition at buygame2 last year, instead of receiving my edition I got an email from them yesterday asking for additional $129 (!!!) for shipping due to transport difficulty caused by Coronavirus plus that they underestimate size of the edition and the courier asking additional charge.

I’m kinda disappointed of this situation and not really keen to pay such significant additional amount.

Am I only one here or anyone else have not received his preorder from Amazon FR and facing the same situation with buygame2?

No they are not a scam. But they are quite expensive and their prices seem to have gone up a lot in recent years. I have stopped using them.

Buygame2 is not a scam, I bought from them a few times including my Uncharted 3 suitcase. They have physical store but I agree that their website looks crappy.

I ordered an Ellie edition from them as well and they were asking additional $89 for shipping. I could understand why because of the weight (it is 19lb!) and I can confirm that the carriers are charging more in Asia because of the pandemic, because my aunt works in the exporting business.

I’ve contacted the to have my order cancelled. Hopefully they’ll cancel it.

I received my Collector's Edition from Game yesterday and the brown box measures 17 inches x 13.5 inches x 13.5 inches. Weights 12.5 lbs.

Now the Ellie edition has a backpack and a vinyl (and something else) as extras over the Collector's edition. Surely these items cannot increase the size or weight of the box by 6.5 lbs ?

Even if they had to use a slightly bigger box it would not increase it by that much.

I received mine yesterday, it says 15lb on the shipping label but 19lb on the box. The outer box seems to be directly from Sony, with dimensions and weight, also the “do not display until 6/19” sticker.

I had similar situation with FFVII Remake vinyl - on release date Amazon France sent me e-mail that they don’t know when they get vinyls and I can cancel my pre-order and buy it from marketplace sellers.
As pre-order price with shipping was only 60eur I decided to risk and wait - couple weeks later I got my order :)

The Ellie Edition is not for sale in Europe (only US) but Sony is sending over Ellie Edition to influencers (*yawn*) with a PEGI sku on the box. This makes me wonder why they made a PEGI sku Ellie Edition and never put it up for sale in Europe...
