Telling me? Mine is 100% gonna be scratched lol. 220$ is a little bit too much for this but oh well.. gotta get it while we can. RE CEs sell out quick and double in price

Probably the same thing happens again as with the remake of 2 and 3:

The EU version of the CE comes with a "real" chest with lid, the US version only comes in a printed cardboard box, just like the Asian version. And then at least the Asian version will have a hardcover artbook, while the others only have a softcover.:poke:

Just to be clear, we are yet to see if this is the same steelbook as the CE one. Historically RE done both different and same so..

I was happy they didn't it was very difficult to get the Taiwan exclusice RE 2 steelbook.

For a while a guy on eBay was selling them at a reasonable price when it was first released. I remember getting one for $80 US dollars. Now they are around 400, lol.

Do you have any experience with them? I e. Are the steels wrapped etc? I got a big package coming from Vienna so it might be wise to throw a few in there. Don't want this to be another gamesonly case

It's been a long while since I ordered from them. (Until Dawn was my last purchase)
Back then, they were great. But I dunno about now.
One thing I noticed, like gamesonly, they now raise prices to make more money, so that's a bummer for me. And it just happend, the steel went from 9,90€ to 11,88€....
So that's certainly something I wouldn't praise.

I've ordered 2 RE:V Steels from them. They should arrive tomorrow, or tuesday at the latest. I'll update my post on the packaging then.

Btw, in my opinion, the RE: Village Steelbook is boring. The inside is just plain black on both sides??. But, I had to have it ??

According to an unboxing video by a Japanaese guy on Youtube, I can see Japanese version has the same art but with "Biohazard Village" on the spine.

Yes, the EU version CE steelbook comes in a paper sleeve and also houses the game disc. The US version comes with the deluxe edition in standard case that houses the disc. The steelbook is included separately and does not come in a apaper sleeve.

I don't know about the Japanese / Asian version.

So, the Steelbooks arrived today. (had to reorder them, due to an error with my new address. Would have gotten them on saturday otherwise)
Shipping is insane fast. Just one day.

Both steels come without srinkwrap, so they are basically naked.
However, despite my worries after realizing this, both seem like new. (one of them has a minor scratch on the bottom, when viewed under sunlight/flashlight.)
Personally, I'm content as it is. Yeah, getting them srinkwraped would have been better, but that's nothing G2G can do about.

Packaging was very much decent I would say. They came in a small, almost G2 sized box, with filler material inside, so that both steels couldn't jump around in it. The steels themselves were wraped in bubblewrap, so scratches should be reduced to a minimum.

So Yeah, overall I'm really satisfied with my purchase.
This certainly saves me the trouble of buying the steelbook edition and re-sell the game on eBay.

PS: Have to say: The design is blatant boring. The ornaments on it's corners would have gained much from an embossed effect. But they look totally flat as is.
PPS: Just opened my Mortal Kombat movie steelbook (the new steel with both old films) and it came scratched + a little dent right out of the foil. Considering this, my RE Village steels are in perfect condition -.-
(gonna buy another copy of it, once it droped in price...)

I always like the steelbooks with sleeves to protect the steelbook, but for the resident evil Steelbook, capcom has been releasing lenticular sleeves, I just use those instead, lol. Look cooler too.
