I don't know why but most Final Fantasy steelbooks disappoint me. They look good in 3D rendering, but the actual products feel cheap. Gonna wait and see how this one turns out.

A majority of The Final Fantasy titles bar Square Enix store exclusive, tend to be overproduced..i mean look at what happened to the Kingdom Hearts III steelbook pack version!?...it became 66% off at one time..so i will wait this one out as well.

Just so you know. Gamestop doesn't guarantee preorder bonuses. It's also not first come first serve. They order very few and randomly distribute it on the day of the release. 10 years of shopping from them, every single time preordered on the day of the announcement, I am yet to receive a single promised bonus.

The tweet still says "while supplies last". Thats their classic, legal "cover my ass" thing. They say this by default for everything. Anyway, if you order make sure you order in store. They get priority. Personally I am gonna pay extra and import from Game UK just so I don't have to go through of gamestop order stress again

They don't give you the option to pick up in stores. If they don't give me the steelbook I'll just return it and buy it on the reseller market. I guess you could always buy like 10 of them to increase the chances lol

At that point it's easier to buy on ebay lol. You have to go into a store and pre order it at the counter to be able to pick up in store. Gamestop stores are completely detached from online. It's like they are two different companies.. very weird system

I wasn't planning on getting the steelbook for Intergrade because 1: Doesn't look so good imo and 2: I don't want to deal with Gamestop, but I have to admit I'm a little angry that we got such a lazy design for the steelbook when we could of had something like the art for the soundtrack of the DLC.

Yeah... that would have been awesome. It seems like the Square Enix store was also offering the steelbook for a while but I contacted the Customer Service today and they said it was sold out.

Good to know but personally I am not interested in the game. I can buy 2-3 steelbooks for that price :) The game will certainly be on sale in a month or so, not many people are willing to buy a game that is free with Ps plus again just for some extra missions and some improvement on the graphics

Yeah, but the game is too expensive. Simply buy the Remake for 30€ or even less used and buy the Yuffie DLC afterwards. Gets even worse when you already own it. And re-selling a french version isn't optimal either. :/

I bought from them only one time , their packaging is much better than Amazon , my MH Rise steelbook arrived in perfect condition

Sadly no dice so far. Checked almost every day.
It seems they want to keep it for the bundle.
I wouldn't count on them selling it seperately. :/

Scanavo charges 10 cents extra per steel for shrink wrap so most retailers dont get it to save money (especially Gamestop because they are trying to cut corners wherever they can)

One of the reasons I ordered from FNAC and all of them came wrapped without a single scratch as far as I can see.

Mine is much worse... They shipped mine just in an envelope. Steelbook arrived dented and scratched... Now I regret buying from them, should've ordered one from FNAC...

Yeah. They shipped on Tuesday with DHL to make sure I have it on release date. Came to about 110$ for 3 steelbooks with shipping. Definitely recommend them in the future

I agree but I don't know the details of their logistics agreements. I would assume the don't work on exact size/weight basis with fedex. At the end of the day throwing things in a giant box quickly is probably cheaper than taking the time package everything carefully. Amazon does the same...

I ordered mine with the game from the Square Enix store. It was about $10 more than Gamestop due to the shipping, but it was worth in the end. They did a nice job packing it. The Steelbook was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a good sized box with the game.
