there's a rumor picking up traction that SONY is moving ahead with redesigning the PS5 quickly due to the chip shortage...apparently the chip shortage is bottlenecking production well into 2022 if SONY were to use the same exact components, ..which would kill the PS5 competing against Switch and Xbox..so allegedly SONY is going to launch a new PS5 with a new computing chip that will use one that is not custom but a readily available mass market chip component so it can fire up the manufacturing of PS5's and get them on store shelves.
