Not long ago Warner Bros announced a New Mortal Kombat game by a whole new developer (don't worry, Ed Boon is still part of the team). Earlier today they announced that not only will there be a "Kollector's Edition" like past MK release but a very limited "Tournament Edition" as well.

The Kollector's Edition is stated to include both Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, as well as an Art Book and DLC Content codes for "Klassic" costumes and avatar outfit.

The Tournament Edition is stated to include a portable fight stick as well as the DLC content codes from the Kollector's Edition. The Tournament Edition is also said to be limited to 20,000 units in North America

In addition to the two editions there are 3 different pre-order bonuses available depending on where you pre-order.

GameStop will provide a code that unlocks a classic Scorpion costume as well as an additional "classic" fatality for Scorpion.

BestBuy will provide a code that unlocks a classic Sub-Zero costume as well as an additional "classic" fatality for Sub-Zero.

Amazon.com will provide a code that unlocks a classic Reptile costume as well as an additional "classic" fatality for Reptile.

Pre-order bonuses will be available for all editions of the game (including the regular edition). No word on pricing for either of the CEs. Mortal Kombat will be released in April 2011 for Xbox 360 and PS3.

UPDATE: According to BestBuy's website the game will be released on the 19th of April. Also, according to GameStop The Kollector's Edition will run you $99 while the Tournament Edition will fetch $149.... View this article on the HomePage. I'm honestly REALLY excited for this...

I'll be snagging both editions... probably order one from amazon and one from GameStop for the two different Pre-order bonuses... and I'll probably pre-order at best buy too and then just return it after I get my bonus code

if anyone sees the Tournament Edition pop up for pre-order anywhere post it up... with a limited quantity I don't want to miss it!

I'm stoked for these editions as well. I keep checking Amazon.com so I can get a jump on pre-ordering that Tournament Edition! I must have that arcade stick.

they have "pre-order" links through the official site:
http://www.themortalkombat.com/web/guest/pre-order

though it looks like none of the stores have anything but the standard edition listed.

I'll be stopping by my local GameStop later today and I'll see if they've got the TE in their system yet...

I'll probably get the TE through Gamestop just because I'll be able to look the box over for blemishes and say "give me a different one" if I don't like it, then get the KE through Amazon

------------

The best thing about the arcade stick.... it has the CLASSIC button layout from MK3... as opposed to any of the weird layouts they tried with the newer 3D games... this gives me hope that the game will control like the old-school MKs.

GameStop is setup to take pre-orders for all 3 editions in-store. I've already placed my order for the tournament edition

KE is $99
TE is $150

$25 minimum deposit for the TE

Very good. I shall stop by my Gamestop today before they stop taking pre-orders on the TE.

My only concern with the arcade stick would be if it's sturdy enough, since the upper part flips up to reveal a compartment. I'll have to test it out once I get it, but I may have to find a way to secure the top to the base.

Well this looks like a better CE than the DC universe vs MK.

Sorry for Off Topic, but I mentioned that in the GAME DB the Two Worlds 1 Royal Edition is missing.
I know that there was one for the Xbox 360 available but only in Germany.

^ Ja, anytime you want to submit an addition or correction to the game database, there's a forum for it. Here's the thread for how to preferably submit such relevant information: http://collectorsedition.org/forums/showthread.php?t=429

I apologize that I've fallen behind on stuff submitted to additions and corrections. I've been re-writing the database to add in a bunch of new features. once that's complete I'll start going through the additions and corrections.
