Total War: Shogun 2 Grand Master Edition announced

SEGA announced a Grand Master Edition for the PC Game Total War: Shogun 2. The ME will be released at 15.03.2011 for 129.99 Euro.

This collector's edition is limited to 999 pieces and can be preordered at Amazon.de. The Grand Master Edition contains the same as the Collector's Edition, but adds a chessboard and with hand-painted figures in the Shogun-2-style.

Can anyone confirm that the UK version will be the grand master edition aswell or will it come with separate Chess box like the title is indicating.

They also have it at EBGames Australia for $168. No word on N. America release. Most likely they won't release it here because PC sale isn't as good as they used to. :(

Hmm...I did look at this and I found out Game will only carry chess box while other vendor will be carrying figurine and artbook.

Chess box will be named Limited Edition while the Figurine/Artbook will be collectors edition. If you want complete Grandmaster edition, you probably need to get both. :(

I guess I will have to pre-order the Gran master edition from Germany as it will work out cheaper than buying both separately here, also one complete box is better.

I'm preordering from Germany since Game won't ship it to N. America because it is heavier than 1kg. I'm surprise the total price comes to 129.99 Euro including shipping. Is that normal in Germany?

Does the €130 euro include taxes, the tax in your country is much lower than those in Europe so the product price is low, also delivery from Euro to NA is cheap, it's the other way round when it's expensive.

I got a final price, it does say 129.99 Euro with 14 Euro subtract from the original price. Without shipping it will cost €116. Weird. I assume the custom will charge me about $25-40 once the shipment gets here.

The last time I ordered from Amazon the taxes were all calculated for me beforehand and I was charge by Amazon during dispatch.

Tax in Germany is 19% on goods, so the pre tax price is €104.80, I'm guessing the tax in your region is 7% which makes the price €115.99.

Therefore you should not pay any taxes, well according to my calculation above anyway.

It's just the Limited edition celo sealed with the Chess set box.

I like how the front of the box containing the game and figurine box flips down when you open the lid. It didn't in the unboxing video posted in this thread, but that is because the guy didn't remove the paper sleeve around the bottom of the box.

I don't know what is all the holding. The shipment arrives in my country but haven't even shipped yet. It was there since Mar. 22. This piss me off.

No reason at all. I believe Canada Post has a long backlog of list to check. Their system is pretty archaic. My Playasia package took 5 weeks to arrive.
