Fans have now a reason to be happy: Gears of War 3 is getting his very own Collector's Edition.
gamepur (http://www.gamepur.com/news/2985-pre-order-gears-war-3-limited-or-epic-edition-get-beta-access.html) states that two different versions will be available on release date. A Limited Edition and an Epic Edition.

The Limited Edition can be purchased at a price of £59.99. The Epic Edition is with a price of £99.99 slightly more expensive.

For those who pre-order their copy through select retailers can look forward to a three week beta access starting April 25.

I'm getting the Limited Edition definitely. Epic edition is a bit pricey and I'm sure it will be something huge (like Halo Reach Legendary) so they won't even ship it to Croatia. :/

This is just the beginning. I'm pretty sure we get to hear much more about this game and Edition's when release date approach.

It also seems that these two versions are only available in the UK and we all know that Microsoft would never leave NA without any special release so I have no doubts that there is coming more :beach:

Ah you're right, the only difference is the Beta access. UK retailers are only giving the beta with LE and EE though and in NA you just need to pre-order the retail game.

Another update for you although small. Game.co.uk have chnaged the Artwork and image of each editions. they say they are not final but promo only, but I would say they are close to the final finish.

If these are the final images, they it looks like they the planning on having a similar situation of Halo Reach, the large one could have a figurine or maybe even collection of characters. Can't imagine a replica gun, not at £99 anyway.

this is not even remotely an "alpha" cover. Probably something GAME put up there to "show something". Real covers with descriptions should arrive at least in time for E3 (AFAIK, that's how it went with Gears 2)

If there's one thing you can count on with GAME is that they are more than happen to leave any photos or even images of a release, up and until even 1 week before release.

As far as i'm aware they don't have a concept generation department, these are likely promo images release by the publisher. The fact it so closely resembles another big Xbox 360 exclusive is even more telling of it's legitimately. Ok they are clearly computer generated but they came from Microsoft and not GAME themselves.

I can only presume they generated these, as listing were made early to enable the pre-order bonus of Beta access.

E3 can't come soon enough.

Contents aren't decided yet (that is: they were not unveiled to the public).
I think they're following the Gears 2 routine:

A Limited Edition of the game was confirmed on February 20, 2008. On July 14, 2008, more information about the Limited Edition's contents was revealed.

I don't think they will reveal the contents in E3.

Since the multiplayer beta will start at 25 April, and people who haven't buy the Epic Editon of Bulletstorm need to pre-order the game to gain the code.

So they probably will annonce these two editions before that.

I just pre-ordered the Epic Edition today!

I hope they do the same as Halo reach and include the lesser edition by default. I was disappointed with the likes of GT5 Signature Editiona nd Halo 3 Legendary Edition which didn't include the basic CE as a basis. I would like to think for £100 they include the regular CE though

And I am hoping that it's another bust, rather than a statue or figure. I am really getting fed-up of figures, and would prefer something more exotic like a set of book ends or something which the actual game can be stored it

Didn't listen but if those figs are all hand painted it must be a limited quantity which will be made. It looks like a high quality fig! Ordered my copy, want to have my collection complete. Wonder if there's also a new pre order pack coming like they did with Gears 1 and 2.

unfortunately, no Epic edition for me... a bit pricey for my pay grade not to mention that there's no freakin' way they would ever ship that to Croatia (GAME's >1kg shipping policy).

I preordered my Limited Edition the day they announced it (on GAME), but I canceled it a few days back and preordered it on shopto.net instead. Cheaper...as always.

The trouble is, you won't know if they will cancel until a few days before dispatch. In which point it maybe soldout. I'm not holding my breath though.

You will have to get someone to pre-order you a copy before hand.

MrBubbles, I'm afraid gurpswoo1 is right. That's how I lost Alan Wake CE. Preordered the first day they announced it only to have it canceled a few days before release date "due to heavy weight". By then, preorders were gone on shopto & others...
Better secure your copy some other way, though a friend in the UK or some forum member here...

I've had mine on pre-order from GAME for some months now ever since the Epic Edition was initially announced, which is how I gained access into the GOW 3 Beta. £99.99 seems the going price for this, although it would be nice if they could bring that down to around £79.99 to make it more reasonable
