Not sure if this Edition is classified as a Collector's Edition as it's just a pre-order bonus.

However If you Pre-order Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D from the USA Capcom store, you get an exclsuive Limited Edition branded case. The case is individually numbered and limited to only 1000 pieces, but will likely come separately.

I would say because there is only 1000 units and are individually numbered, I would class this as a Pre-order edition.

Well, it's not really any different to the bonuses we got with the BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Fan Edition, so I can't see why we can't make exceptions for individual items like this. Especially when it's not a piece of merch which can be bought separately, and can only be obtained by buying the game package

It's slightly different when a game is released with a pre-order incentive which is a piece of merch which can be obtained separately
