It doesn't state that it's a PLAY.com excusive though, so perhaps this will be available elsewhere? Although PLAY.com have previously had exclusives for past Assassin's Creed games

Alternatively, this will most likely also be available directly from the Ubisoft store if you don't want to deal with PLAY.com. The Ubistore packaging is usually much better than that which PLAY.com use as well, and all my previous orders have been packaged in suitable boxes

Normally there's three levels: just the game, limited special and collectors.

For Assas 2:
the Game
the White edition
the Black edition/ grand master assassins edition

And a complete, all dlc version later

Botherhood:

Codex/Jack in the box edition

Yea, I think this is Ubisoft's general business model for Assassin's Creed games. A standard edition, a slightly better Limited Edition containing exclusive DLC, and then a fancy Collector's Edition, followed by an all-inclusive DLC edition six months down the line once interest in the game wanes

I reckon the same will be true for Revelations. However, I notice that the middle-tier edition seems to be missing, so perhaps this time around we will see less editions? I am hoping the Collector's Edition will live up to the standard of the Codex Edition for the previous game

Wow, nice find!

However, two things irk me about ubisoft.

1: This kit doesnt really contain a lot of out of box material. An "encylopedia" is just a fancy name for an organized brochure. I wanted something more tangible and more fun to display with a bit more exclusivity.

2: Ubisoft is STILL selling the collectors edition jack in the boxes from brotherhood on the ubisoft site that you provided! :( that means that it was in no way exclusive and probably wont ever merit any value since its still being sold in uncountable quantities on ubisofts site.

So, four editions, none of which appear to include another. Do we really require three alternative editions to the standard release? Pretty shabby that they've split these things between three different releases, rather than bundling them altogether for one uber-edition... There's no reason why the Collector's Edition and Animus Edition couldn't have been combined

I am guessing this was done to allow GAME, PLAY.com, and HMV each an exclusive - If that is indeed the case here. Personally I think it's ignorant, and only annoys their main demographic

I was just saying that I wish that they did make the White Edition Encyclopedia as a Hardcover book as well so that it matches the Black Edition Encyclopedia. It's going to look a bit odd having two encyclopedia's related to one game with one being a softcover book and the other as a hardcover! :S

Getting mine from Ubisoft shop together with the Eizo Figurine. They did mess up the date for the figurine on my order, which their awful support couldn't help me with and tried to forward me to their technical support, which off course couldn't help me.

I finally got an answer from Ubisoft Nordic via Facebook, that the figurine will be ready for game launch.

It's the second time I've been in contact with Ubisoft Shop support, the first time I tried to get them to find out, if the White Edition Encyclopedia could be added to the Ubisoft Shop. I might as well asked them in ... Klingon, because the ladies at Ubisoft Shop support clearly doesn't know anything past the FAQ and can't be bothered to investigate anything.

So to sum it up. If you need anything from Ubisoft Shop support, don't expect them to read your mails and prepare for standard replies.

Got some bad news for Pc collectors

Ubisoft today confirmed that the PC version of Assassin creed Revelations willl be delayed until the 2nd of December. Hopefully it won't be delay further than this.

The console release date remains unchanged though.

What? Wait a second something's not right with that picture or with my edition according to the bottom picture. I just realized my PAL Animus edition is not shaped like that. Both sides have 22cm. Each side is parallel to the opposite and there isn't a single 90º angle. The side section is kinda like a stretched lozenge.

And I just realized the length of my box is not 33.5, but barely over 32 instead o.O

Can anyone please post a picture of the actual cover of the Japanese Limited edition (the one that according to here comes with all the released dlc included)?, not just of the ones of its content. I'm looking to get it and I don't want to make a mistake and get the wrong one, it seems kind of hard to find. Thanks.
