Many of you may or may not be aware that there is a new SteelBook design currently being issued for various media such as Dvd, Blu-Ray, and video games. They are similar to the traditional SteelBook design, but instead of having artwork nicely printed on the tin itself, they now have a very cheap-looking vinyl sticker on the front and back. Needless to say, these new "StickerBooks" are not proving very popular amongst the various SteelBook collecting communities, and I personally think they look extremely tacky
If any of you bought the SteelBook version of SEGA's Vanquish back in October 2010, then you will know what a StickerBook is. Likewise, here in the UK we have just seen the first wave of StickerBook Dvd and Blu-Ray SteelBooks in the form of The Extraordinary Adventures Of Adele Blanc-Sec and Source Code...
Therefore, I would like to escalate this issue to a formal petition aimed at Scanavo to discontinue their line of StickerBook SteelBooks on the grounds that they are low quality, unattractive, and unwanted by a vast majority of SteelBook collectors!
Scanavo have an online contact form on their www.steelbook.com (http://www.steelbook.com) website, which I intend to file a formal complaint regarding this new StickerBook design:

I have also started a formal petition on www.petition.co.uk: (http://www.petition.co.uk:)

I would like to issue to a formal petition aimed at Scanavo to discontinue their line of StickerBook SteelBooks on the grounds that they are inferior quality, unattractive, and unwanted by a vast majority of SteelBook collectors and consumers, both in the UK and also worldwide!
StickerBooks are Scanavo's new product line of SteelBooks which instead of having artwork printed directly on the tin, they have a vinyl sticker overlay both back and front. Often, these sticker overlays are not applied straight, resulting an unaesthetical product.
Many SteelBook collectors and consumers are very disappointed at the recent StickerBook releases here in the UK, and would prefer if Scanavo discontinued this product for future releases.
Both The Extraordinary Adventues Of Adele Blanc-Sec (Blu-Ray) and Source Code (Dvd and Blu-Ray) - Both UK releases - have been poorly received by various SteelBook collecting communities, with many citing reasons such as "inferior quality to previous SteelBook releases", "unattractive", and "cheap-looking". Likewise, many video game collectors were extremely disappointed with the SteelBook release of SEGA's Vanquish earlier in the year, due to the fact that it was the new StickerBook design rather than a conventional SteelBook
Most SteelBook fans and collectors would prefer if Scanavo could discontinue producing StickerBooks, and return to producing high quality SteelBook products as before
It would also be greatly appreciated if Scanavo could forward these concerns to their potential customers in the near future, as opting for a SickerBook product over a traditional SteelBook may have an impact on sales of their Dvd, Blu-Ray, or video game productsPlease sign if you agree!
* I'm aware that I misquoted the release date of Vanquish
