I want to share a short testimony and some Bible scriptures with all of you. This past Thursday I made a decision to change the way I have been living, being a Christian, I have been living deeply immersed in sin and all the things of this World. I have decided to surrender and give my whole life over to the Will and Power of Jesus Christ again, who is my personal Lord and Savior from my Sin. My time online will be much less from this point forward. I'm changing my life (through the Power of Jesus Christ) and part of that includes staying off the internet, reducing all sources of temptation, avoiding all the things of this World and most importantly seeking my Lord Jesus Christ every single day, all throughout the day, remaining in a constant state of prayer and always reading the Word of God. I've turned my heart, mind and body back to Jesus Christ and have surrendered my life to him again. I have asked Him to forgive me of ALL my sins and I know that he has because his Word tells me so.

For years now I have been very sick both physically and spiritually and I came to a breaking point this past Friday. The reason things will be different this time around in coming back to Jesus and seeking God is that I am not expecting my life to be easy from this point forward. In fact, I'm expecting things to be harder. It is harder to live for Jesus and seek God every day than it is not to. I feel a real passion for Christ again. I'm staying in prayer, reading my Bible and trying to fill my time by being with other Christians, family and going to events, especially Church and Bible Studies. I've removed everything in my life that was keeping me from God. That includes all my collectibles which I have been worshiping as false idols for many many years now, and all my pornography, all my Worldly music, comics books and I have changed every account and social median I own online, making them all clean of Worldly things and honorable to God. Everything physical is gone, in bags, dumped. A burden so incredible and heavy has been lifted from me.

1 John 1:9
New Living Translation (NLT)
9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Jeremiah 17:9
New Living Translation (NLT)
9 “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?

Isaiah 26:9
New Living Translation (NLT)
9 All night long I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek for God. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.

John 3:16
New Living Translation (NLT)
16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

Matthew 11:28-30
New Living Translation (NLT)
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

John, Chapter 11:21-27
New Living Translation (NLT)
21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.” 25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.”

Thanks mike. It's very hard work taking care of them but it's something I'm fully committed to as long as their conditions permit or I completely burn out. I'm hoping I can stick it out at least a couple more years and see where things are at that point...

Yea, my ULE is the holy grail of my collection, but unfortunately I DID open it. I just couldn't help myself. I knew I would never sell it (ever) and to be honest, I actually had this crazy notion that there might be "nothing" inside and I got totally ripped off! lol Turned out the inside was damaged like I said. Too bad. I'll never be able to invest in another one of these...but I'm very happy to have 1. Go Bruins! Oh, and I will do a video review of my Dead Space plasma cutters soon... ;)

Well they've gotten to be 86 so you must be doing a great job. I lost my grandfather a few years ago, he was about the healthiest 80 yr old you'll ever see (he was lifting winter tires the night before) so it was totally unexpected - He died of a blood clot, he wasn't on his blood thinners. Just goes to show anything can happen, that being said - Caregiving for 2 86 year old's must be a stressful job. I commend you man.

Haha, I don't blame you. but myself, I'd never open it. I would feel to pissed that I didn't just buy a used version for cheaper.

As for the bruins, I cheer for them second. It looks like my beloved sens are a confirmed dead last in the NHL once again and the Bruins are good for another cup run so I'm excited. I actually got to touch the cup this summer when Kelly (a personal friend of mine) brought it to Ottawa. It was pretty cool! :D

You got a impressive collection there! And I think its very honorable what you are doing for your grandparents. I have great respect for your work and your collector's passion.

A question to the art pieces, is this really a western art of assassins creed ? It looks more like Roland Deschain. :)

Really nice collection you have there, it would look really nice if you got some nice shelves to display them (the ones I'm using are from Ikea, and they're relatively inexpensive)...

I completely forgot about that splinter cell case, any chance you could post up some details about it you might now (the official name, where they were originally sold, and how much they originally sold for, etc.) it's not in the database, either and that's one release I wouldn't mind adding to my personal collection.

You might be interested to know that I live up in NH, Tilton to be exact. I know you said you never get a day off but if you ever find yourself up in the lakes region you're welcome to stop by, just shoot me a message. :)

Very nice collection you have! It looks like you are limited on space just as I am, but it looks like you've made the most of it!

The Dead Space plasma cutters look really awesome too. Where did you get them from?

Also, I see you listed Resistance as being one of your main collections...? What items do you have for that? :D

Sorry for the late replies everyone! I've been busy most of the day...I really appreciate all the replies. I'll do my best to answer everyone:

@Sevket Thanks! It is #52 of 60 sold originally on the ubiworkshop.com store. It is very special to me, same as my other art piece which is 1/30 (Super special - Alice Madness).

@Angelaoni Thanks. Caring for my grandparent's has given me purpose and it will be something I'll always be proud of doing. And yes! That is a Western art piece for Assassin's Creed. It has no specific relation to any of the games (1, 2 or brotherhood), it is just an artists vision of a what a western style assassin in the Assassin's Creed universe might look like.

@Twisted I will have to get back to you via PM regarding the official details for the Splinter Cell case. I know it was a Canadian exclusive and that it came "seperate" from the collector's edition game (which was the same as the US release). Basically it was a bonus item (or maybe even a press kit of some sort). New Hampshire huh? Nice. Close by here. Did you get hit w/ Hurricane Irene? I have yet to actually meet someone online in real life...maybe you'd be the first! lol

@Lemur Thanks Lemur. I'm very proud of the Slimer statue. I got it on amazon (was exclusive) a couple years ago. It came separate from the game and included a bunch of puffy laminated sticker sheets (along w/ the certificate of authenticity and mini Ectomobile). 6500 made so not super rare...

@AJLareneg Thanks! yes I am very limited on space, but I love it! I love the challenge of trying to organize, protect and display everything. It's part of how I get my kicks as a collector. Got the DS plasma cutters from epicweapons.com (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/epicweapons.com) They are the company who acquired the license with EA/Visceral, then had them made in China (sad I know, but what isn't made there these days?) A closely related site is: weaponmasters.com (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/weaponmasters.com) I am extremely proud of these replicas! They are true replicas in every sense. From their weight to their detail they are amazing. They each have 3 very powerful lasers that shoot out, just like in the game. These lasers are dangerous (though not the kind that will cut), they can cause eye damage very easy, just from a reflection. I've never seen lasers as powerful as these are. It's too bad I don't have the ones that were auctioned off on eBay for charity that have signatures from the entire Visceral Development team! I will try to do a live demo of my plasma cutters soon. As for Resistance, yes, it the newest addition to my top 10 collecting series', but still too new for me to have many Resistance collectibles. I have the more rare version of Resistance 2 (the one that came bundled w/ the PS3 system which has a different cover art) and I have the Resistance 2 CE. I also have all the comics and graphic novel mint*. Thats it so far, but I plan for more!

@Ayiu Thank you. I like to have a lot of variety so my collecting has a very broad range...though I do try to stick to specific series' and platforms to appease my completionist tendencies.

@mosavon Yes sir! I have a few coming from everyone! I'm all "preordered" out! So excited for everything. Everyday all I think about is holding each collectible in my hand soon. Rage, Battlefield 3, AC:R, Batman AC, Uncharted 3, Gears 3, Resistance 3, my oh my!!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/110518580552?ssPageName=STRK:null:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1429.l2649Man this sucks. I paid like 300$ for both the game and this case from a Canadian seller and here is the damn case for 50$ US! I think I got ripped off a bit. But it's alright, I got mine way back when the game was released so it was easier to price jack then. + mine is perfect condition so at least that's good.

My friend has a laser pointer that can do something like that. He's beamed it up in the sky before and it looks like it just goes forever. Is it something like that??

Resistance is an awesome series, and probably my official "secondary" collection so I approve of this. :D Do you have a photo of the alternate box art Resistance 2!? I am interested... I know the R2 CE came with the alternate box art in it...and then PAL got our limited box art standard. I love the comics too. :) Do you have the #0 issue too?

Here's what the alternate box art looks like that came bundled w/ PS3 (not sure if same for CE as I didn't open mine). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resistance-2-game-RARE-cover-art-PS3-new-SEALED-/270785340346?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3f0c1063ba As for the comics, yes I snagged 1 of the #0 (resistance 2 promo) comics. Unfortunately my copy is not mint* but rather Very Fine or less. I plan to get another at some point. Problem w/ the promo comic is it was handed out at conventions so it was never meant to stay mint. I may pickup the Japanese alternate box for R2 as I love it (w/ the Chimera) http://www.ebay.com/itm/PS3-RESISTANCE-2-Japan-Import-Sony-Shooter-/350312730326?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item5190440ed6. Do you know AJ if there was a collector's guide for R2 or even Fall of Man? Maybe an EU or even JP exclusive? I know some games get Japan exclusive art book/guides like the recent "Catherine" game did (which I snagged one off ebay from a Japanese seller). Pictures of my comic collection coming soon...

Can you please explain to me how you found these listings? I do searches on eBay and come up with nothing so often I figure I must be doing something wrong. I followed your links above and saw the listings. The title says "Resistance 2 Press Kit". Simple right? So I type in "Resistance 2 Press Kit" in the search bar and no results. How is that? I'm obviously doing something wrong with my searching...help me AJ!! It's probably 1 reason I never find the collectibles I need...

Yeaa, thats the same art! Its the one inside the CE... :) I liked it a lot more than the standard art. The promo comic was from conventions?? Really?? ...I got mine from Best Buy. It was just sitting there in a huge pile around when Resistance 2 was coming out. Mine is actually in very good condition too because of that... huh.. I wondered what they were actually meant for. No collector guides as far as I know...but I picked up the regular ones anyway.

The japanese R2 art is really nice! That just reminds me I need to pick up the inFamous 2 JP copy as well eventually...it also has very nice cover art...but any of the regions are better than the one we got here. :(

the listings? yea, when you look on the right hand bar there should be something to click up "worldwide" searches...and also searching ebay.co.uk pulls up auctions you won't even find in ebay.com ...but most of those would need someone to import for you since they won't ship overseas.

Usually those items wont turn up on other ebay site's, but doesn't mean you can't try or message the seller to open it for international bids.

I can remember when it was released but I wasn't really into collecting at the time although I did buy the lunchbox edition.. wished i had now due to the value of it:(

Fully agree with what you mean theres a lot of games that the CEs don't really go into detail for the game. Although it's a very common CE that's why I love my bioshock 2 limited edition with the vinyl and soundtrack, and the heavy rain with the rain droplets on..

Very rare, and a very nice addition :banana:Thanks Gwal! I'm not sure if the Daggerfall is a "special edition" as it doesn't say this anywhere on the box. However, back in the those older days, PC big boxes were made "collectible" unintentionally due to the industry "standard" for retail box size. Publishers would often include fancy paperwork, ads, manual and in some rare cases a full guide in the box w/ the game case. The boxes were in many cases very beautiful (as w/ Daggerfall).

I am extremely proud of these additions. I never thought I would acquire these. Ever.

Gwal
10-17-2011, 10:36 AM
Well i call it a special edition because i own a copy of daggerfall and it is a standard big box with no fancy effect. My manual is also not the same and yours is way better. I heard ther was a special big box edition of this game which looked prettier but never saw it until now.

Well done :)

Honestly, I could sit, hold and stare at it for hours. It's just so beautifully crafted. By far my favorite collectible acquired recently.

@AJ: The R3 Survivor I'm keeping sealed because I already bought the standard edition at local Gamestop (and I know what's in it from unboxings). No, I don't keep everything sealed, just real "important" valuable stuff. When you say "what version of Deus Ex" is my favorite, what do you mean? What "edition" do I like best? There really wasn't much difference between the standard "Augmented" edition and the "Collector's" edition. CE included Augmented + the figure. I bought augmented separate from local Gamestop to play and open. Deus Ex CE stays FOREVER sealed!! It is so perfectly mint it's unreal. If you decide to buy Deus Ex: HR, you should just get the "Collector's" edition from Europe or eBay if you can find. They're scarce now. Augmented edition is awesome though if you can't find the CE.

@mosavon: Thanks mos. Ya it was one of the "secret" rare things I told you about. It is VERY mint for its age. I am extremely satisfied.

more updates soon all!

Makes sense...:)

Ah, yes I meant the edition of deus ex. I am not entirely familiar with it, honestly. I've heard some good things about the game though so I've been curious about picking it up. If the CE is so rare I probably won't be able to afford it... I saw the Augmented edition at my local shop though. :) I might pick it up when I have some spare cash.

About a week ago my dad was cleaning out all his old games and I found a copy of the first one sitting in the pile so I took it... I haven't had a chance to check it out yet though...but I have it at least. :D

I heard this one is a prequel of sorts anyway, so I don't need to get the earlier ones do I ?

and my package has already arrived? Just wondering because of the flag :PYea, I have been looking for you on gmail chat but you haven't been on! I been meanin' to tell you because your package arrived like a week and 1/2 ago lol! It was only like 4 days from when you mailed it. Amazing. The skyrim stuff is special. It came from PAX 2011, and you could only get it from the Elder Scrolls Food Truck (which was going from city to city, first stop I guess was PAX). They gave out elder scrolls themed food (as seen on the menu card in the picture), and elder scrolls themed things like napkins, menu cards and the helmet replica hat in the pic. Very neat! Very rare also to have the napkin.

@Venner: Thanks man. It just keeps getting harder, but I'm managing.

@Lennuj: Haha ;)

@AJ: Well, thing is, I like to play games in order of release. I think it's how it's intended. If I were you I'd play DE 1 and 2 before starting human revolution. That's just me though. HR is a prequel so your welcome to play it first if that's your thing...

What's the resident evil 5 print between the two signed resistance 3 items? It is an embossed and bordered "laser cell". Similar to a "film cell" but the difference is it is not an actual piece of film but a printed image from the game itself or just simply art from the game. It's gorgeous though isn't it? I'm not sure where it originally came from, but it came as a bonus with the guide and RE5 CE game I got from an eBay seller. I snatched it REAL fast when I saw that! lol Probably a preorder bonus.

Would love to see more detail picture of any press kits that exist surrounding Alice Madness...Ha thanks Chau for looking. I'm quite proud of everything. Been working at it for about 4-5 years now. As I'm sure your aware I live in USA. Here we don't really get press kits. Thats a European and Eastern part of the world thing. It's sad. Press kits are so beautiful. The best you could hope for in USA is promotional items or launch kits (totally not like a press kit but still neat).

I do not believe there are any press kits for Alice Madness or the first American McGee's Alice. The game didn't do so well for sales but it was promoted well, just not w/ the press I don't think.

Did you backed the new Tim Schafer's project, Double Fine Adventure?

Donating USD100 (if i remember well) grants you a boxed copy of the game, designed like in the good old days.

I think there's even a CE signed by Schafer and other member of the team, for a higher participation.

Brian Fargo is doing the same thing with his Wasteland 2 project.

Are you going to set them up in display cabinets?

@Gwal: No man I missed out on backing Schafer's project on Kickstarter. I'm very, very upset about this. Hopefully I can get a copy of the CE or regular boxed edition on ebay when it hits...

@Sirren: You bastard...:hammer:

@Hans: I am a small, specific collector so I don't see my collection growing to the point where I need large cabinets...yet. Someday when I have my own home and can do as I want. Right now I have limited space, but I use it well. All my large editions and figures I have a specific table or floor space for them. I always put a cloth under anything on the floor...

I have 2 custom made wooden shelves (open, no doors) that are very nice and I'm quite proud of them. I put all my small collector, limited and standard games on. One shelf has Playstation, Nintendo, Sega, while the other is all Xbox. The shelves were handmade here in my home with the help of my father and cousin so they're pretty special to me and still plenty of space left on 'em.

;)

This will most likely be like this...

However, what may happen and what i hope, is that on the contrary some development teams will still offer big boxed games on kickstarter, as it is a strong "bait" for some people and then it's likely to bring them backers who wouldn't have helped them, or paid less, if the bonuses were digital only.

In fact that's what i would have done, backing only $15 to get the steam version instead of 110 for the box...

Hey, that makes me think about something, it may be off topic but what is the most recent big boxed game you had on PC? I mean apart from CE, just a plain big box for a standard game like in the old days...

I received a big boxed copy of FEAR 2 Project Origin, ordered in Germany because it was the cheapest price at the moment and french subtitles were available on steam. I expected a regular case and when i saw that box i was like WTF :O :cpatch:

That was in 2009! Those germans are amazing when it comes to pc gaming.

I do like your RC sign, I especially like how it's shrink wrapped :) Unlike the GTAIV license plate [well, it wasn't for us here]

I really need to invest in a region free Blu-ray player, would love that Casablanca box set but can only find basic version in region 2 PAL here in UK. I see there was also a recent release of a nice edition of the old Titanic movie: A Night to Remember, compared to the basic Region 2 affair.

Seriously...where was it originally sold, how many were made (thousands? hundreds?) was it a WB store exclusive w/ the Ultimate Matrix? Was it exclusive to a certain country (Australia?) Details details!

@VGM-UK: Yea it seems each region gets it share of exclusives the other wants. It's all 1 big conspiracy if you ask me VGM. The Casablanca box sets (both 2008 and now) are really nice. Best of luck!

Thanks V, I totes forgot it was limited to 400 units.

@4evaMyFlash It was released in late 2008 and originally cost US$375 [recession time meaning I paid far more than that! :S ] Original info here; http://www.ohgizmo.com/2008/09/27/the-ultimate-matrix-collection-on-blu-ray-overpackaging-at-its-finest/

I got mine from amazon.jp so I paid a fair bit for it at ¥30,969 shipped.
I don't think they ship it outside of Japan any longer?? http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B001ALQXGI/ref=ox_ya_os_product

But you could always try eBay :S
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_pppn=v3&_kw=Matrix&_kw=Ultimate&_kw=Nebuchadnezzar&_kw=Box&_kw= [they're all from Japan]
Obviously much more than the original price from almost 4 years ago.

this is amazing man, the only thing missing from my ninja gaiden collection (with the exception of some of the retro games) is that damn Sigma 1 collectors edition, heck I even have Ryu Hyabusa's swords (full sized replica carbon steel) but not that damn collectors!!!

some of your stuff is just... WOW... keep it up :)

@david: You know I don't care for much of what Hot Toys makes (with the premium pose-able action figures) but this ship is different. More like a mini replica of fine detail. I definitely got a BUZZ. I know I'll never be able to have one of these though which makes me very sad...

@zhaff: Thanks bud. Did you see the first page of the thread, was that were you saw my Sigma 1 CE or did you check out the whole photobucket I have? I displayed my Sigma 1 CE in the original post because to me that's likely the rarest and most prized PS3 CE I have. I decided because I have so many photos I would just display the very BEST in each collection on the first page and link to the rest. Sigma 1 is Certainly NOT the most extravagant or expensive but definitely the rarest... :)

@Vhal & Matrix: Wanted to thank you both for posting the details on the Nebuchadnezzar. ;)

@Viridius, Dave, Vhal:

Thanks guys! I want to be honest with you. The M8 is not what I expected. I have never owned anything this valuable, 650$ total cost + 60$ shipping, so it was about 700$, and I have to tell you I was disappointed. Let me be clear: The M8 looks and performs EXACTLY as advertised. So why you ask am I disappointed? Because the craftsmanship of the M8 is not as detailed and intricate up close as I thought it was from picture. Many aspects of the M8 are "glued on" parts and stickers. The lighting effects leave much to be desired and there is no working "laser" or anything that can shoot out of the front (which there should be - at the very least a laser like the DS replicas). Instead, the trigger doesn't even move!

Probably the MOST disappointing aspect of all, from a collector standpoint, is the fact that the M8 is NOT numbered on the actual replica. NO where. It's not even numbered on the outer collector's box. The numbering is really obscure. You see a hand written # on the outside of the foam the replica sits in, and the actual #__ out of __ (the proper numbering) is, of ALL places, on the SHIPPING BOX! Jesus. Tell me that is not fucking retarded people...? You can see from the picture above...

Another BIG reason for my disappointment, is the fact that after several personal lengthy conversations with the sales manager at TriForce about "proper packaging protection" of my ENTIRE M8 (including the collector's box) and waiting months waiting for a decision and reply, he told me before release day that they could not change their packaging method. They planned from the beginning on using the "industry standard" method, which I call "Fit to box" appropriately. It basically means there is a box inside a box without any protection for the inner box (which is the collector's box). Pathetic. I figured TriForce would rise above the rest of the industry but they didn't. So, because of this poor packaging, the collector's box for my M8 (the one with designs on it) was damaged pretty bad (not severe) but bad enough. Dents/creases etc. A collector's nightmare my friends. Do not buy this M8.

Awesome update! That M8 is out of this world... me so jealous! :D

Sorry to hear about your troublesome experience with TriForce. I'm no familiar with them, but any reputable company should offer a replacement or refund. Thanks Visalis. Triforce is not a reputable company, and they DO not do proper replacements. As I said in the previous post you read above, I talked at length with the sales manager, and he made it VERY clear to me that ONLY if the replica itself was damaged, would they EVEN consider replacing it. And ONLY the replica would be replaced, NOT the collector's box, or even the protective foam case the replica sits in. Triforce does not truely care about collectors, because if they did then they would care how I received both the replica and it's collectible box, which, they don't. They would have the replica itself engraved with a number (and even signed!). They would care about the whole product and the whole process, but they do not. Very, very sad. I feel ripped off good. So the final verdict: I can't in good conscience recommend ANYONE to buy from them.

The M8 gun does look nice if hung up on a wall with a desk between it but close-up & i mean no disrespect looks like something you could get from toys r us
As said i mean no disrespect but at that cost (a good runner/second hand car) you would expect more & more respect.

Nice collection Flash! Some sick stuff in there. My collection stands now at 50 Collector's Editions for Xbox 360 only, not counting first-editions and other not-truly-special editions. I don't have nearly as much extra stuff that you do, however...the stuff like figures and replicas that aren't in CE's and such. Maybe I'll get up to that type of expanse someday (of course I will, but I can't tell myself that  ). I can compete with you on one thing though: I also own a Dead Space Ultra...

Just doing my duty for fellow collectors and interested parties, so no problem Hans. This whole ordeal was frustrating and disappointing, but I'm still happy (from a completionist point of view) to own the M8. Let me just say that the average person would consider the M8 Avenger replica to be amazing! They would love it. I am not your average person. I am a passionate collector who really cares about details that the average person would disregard. Understanding this, one could easily look at this M8 replica with awe and amazement. Since I take this collecting seriously, those details that most would disregard, however small some may think they are, make a WORLD of difference to me. I suppose anything someone is passionate about they will notice all the details where most others will not see them or not care.

If you are a completionist collector for Mass Effect, I say you have to have this M8. If you are not, then I certainly would not recommend it.

Lucky you on the Dead Space Ultra. It's a very special item. Unfortunately for me, my copy is both open and damaged (but repaired to a degree). As it stands right now, the most precious collector edition I own is NOT Dead Space Ultra anymore, but rather: Fallout 3 SURVIVAL Edition - of which I have the rarest of all 3 platforms (360) and it is pristine (though opened once, with original seal broken). Still, even being open, it is mint and fantasticly rare and sought after. No other edition I own brings me more pride.

Also, in regards to this...very nice. Not trying to actually compete with you, but I have this too....on the 360, but also opened. I don't know about yours, but mine still has the original "DO NOT SELL BEFORE 10/08/2008" sticker!

Where is the sticker on yours? On the actual collector box itself? I'd prefer if mine didn't have a sticker like that! I hate retail stickers. I would have peeled something like that off. But I can definitely see the appeal of the sticker w/ the "do not sell" date. I'd probably keep that kind of sticker in a drawer or if it was on the outside of shrinkwrap that would be ok...

Foreverflash: Where is the sticker on yours? On the actual collector box itself? I'd prefer if mine didn't have a sticker like that!

The sticker is not on the box itself, but it was. Just near the top where the seal would be, stuck to the outer sleeve and the box itself. I peeled it off (luckily, with no damage to the box) and stuck it to a piece of paper and just stuck it inside the box with the rest of the stuff. It doesn't really add a whole lot to it and I agree, having it on the outside would be a detracting quality, but it's just one of those cool, "silly collector's items", if you know what I mean.

Oh, and don't bother thanking me for the correction...understandable mistake. Just pointing it out. ....and yes, in case you were wondering, I am a jackass :2cool:

Gosh I love the Monkey Island Games! The statue actually was inexpensive even though it is numbered. I was trying to find merchandise from the game series and stumbled upon it. I guess there arnt many Monkey Island fans cause they slashed the price of staue in half! Here it is right here:

BUt you must know when it arrived to me the outer box was very damaged to my disappointment and when I was putting it together I broke both Guybrush and LeChucks legs! Thank you guys. God deserves all the glory and praise for my turn-around because it is He, through the Love and Power of His Son, Jesus Christ, who pulled me out of the death grip this World had on me for so long now. I was so deeply in love with and completely involved with everything this World has to offer, yet I was empty inside. He called me, I answered. I abandoned Him so many years ago, He never abandoned me. He turned his face away from me because of my sin, but he was always there, waiting for me to turn back to Him. God's mercy, forgiveness and grace, through His Son Jesus, is just too awesome to comprehend...

Flash, you can walk the path of God without having to abandon these gifts he set on his world. As long as you don't let collecting impact the health and happiness of your Grandma and you. Praise Him, pray to Him and his Son, but also use the gifts that God bestowed on you to bring your life around.

There are many Children of God, such as yourself, who play and create video games. As long as we keep Him in our heart and do His biding first and foremost, there is no need to resign yourself to the life of a hermit. Playing games and collecting is one of many tests given to us by God, in order to stay in His Grace you must forge a balance between these hobbies and the rest of your life. He put these things on His world to test your faith, to determine if you can enjoy these splendors without drowning yourself in temptation.

Think about it, brother. God is Eternal, he knows this World and His Children are ever evolving, ever changing. Technology, entertainment, are Gifts from God. To improve our lives and to help connect all His Children spread across His world, He gave us these gifts. If we didn't have the internet and video games, we would still be imprisoned in Lucifer's darkness. But using God's gift only as He intended, we have gathered here together from across His world with a common interest. This would only be possible because of Him.

You and your Grandma will be in my prayers.

I apologize for bumping an old thread, but fate would have it that in a time where I'm struggling with my spirituality, that I would click on your "My New Life" signature link.

If you happen to read this sooner or later, and if you don't mind telling me - I'm curious, what was your breaking point? While cleaning the archives of my email today, I came to a CE.org label, and consequently, I saw "My Collection - A New Life" thread. I am here to tell anyone who is interested that Jesus Christ is still my Savior and Lord today and He has done a tremendous work of transformation in my life for His glory. It was necessary that I withdraw from the world for a time in order for God to sanctify me and prepare me to serve Him. Now, as I have been stepping out into the world again, I am no longer "of" the world, but "in" the world serving the Master of the Universe, the Lord Jesus Christ. As I walk with Him each day, I learn more and more how sinful I am and how Holy and Righteous He is. I am humbled. The more I learn of His holiness, the more I desire it and the more I love Him and others. Currently, I am answering God's call on my life to:

Mark 16:15 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature..."

And to be a witness for Jesus...

Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Currently, I'm involved with the following evangelistic ministries and will be training in June to do open-air preaching. Praise God! It's so awesome to serve Him in this way! God is so good! That my broken, sinful life can be cleansed and useful to bring glory and honor to God is beyond all comprehension and expression...

Are you a good person? Will you go to Heaven when you die? Are you prepared to face eternity? The following passages (highlighted in red) are from the Holy Bible. Specifically, the Law, known as the Ten Commandments" is shown first below - it was written to the Jew first and also to the Gentile (which is what most of us are - a gentile is simply anyone of any nationality other than Jewish). The truth is, there is one God (made up in three distinct, coequal and coeternal Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and this True, Living God has given Mankind this moral Law in writing, but also it is written in every human heart, in the conscience, breaking every language barrier on earth - it is timeless and it it knows no partiality - it is the same Law for every person of every ethnic background. By it all people instinctively know right from wrong. I encourage you to read this. Test yourself. See if you are "good" according to God's Standards:

The Ten Commandments

20 And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

The People Afraid of God’s Presence

18 Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. 19 Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”
20 And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” 21 So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

I wanted to respond to ro4eva, and tell you (if you are still around), that "spirituality" is not what you need in order to get right with God. Spirituality won't save you when you stand in judgment before your Creator. What you need is righteousness, and that righteousness comes ONLY from Jesus Christ - the Righteous One. Lying, stealing, lusting, hating, coveting, disobedience, lack of love for God and others - all of this (and more) is "sin" - violations of God's moral Law - the Ten Commandments. This makes us all "guilty" before God because who can honestly say that never once in his or her life they've told a lie (even a white lie)? No one. Have you ever wondered why you die? Did you ever realize that 10 out of 10 people die? It is the surest thing in this life. The reason we all die is we all have "sinned". We are born in sin and we incline to do wrong from the moment we are conceived in the womb. God is Just, God is Holy. Sin will be punished wherever it is found, at every level, both at the time God has appointed for the world, and at the time of death for every sinful human being. Guaranteed: you and I will be judged. What hope is there? How shall we escape God's wrath against sin? Therefore, listen to what God says through His Word:

Revelation 21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Matthew 5:27-30 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell."

1 Samuel 15:23a "For rebellion (like disobeying parents) is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..."

1 John 3:15 "Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,"

Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-"

Psalm 51:5 "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me."

Acts 17:30-31 "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

We as human being are unjust and unholy. We take the "good gifts" God gives and we pervert them, we are ungrateful, unkind and selfish by nature. Have you heard that all humans are inherently good? This is the greatest lie you have ever been told. As you see from God's moral Laws, we are not inherently good but are inherently evil - from the beginning man chose to disobey God and has been doing so ever since. The Law shows us how sinful we are. The Law cannot save us or help us, it only condemns. Yet God in His great love and mercy has pursued man from the beginning until now in order to save and restore as many people as would repent and believe in Him through Jesus Christ. Yet this "age of grace" will not last forever. Judgment Day will come. The people of Old Testament times had "faith" looking forward to the Messiah's coming. Now, people look back and forward, having "faith" in Jesus and His completed the work of salvation, and looking forward to His Second Coming.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "...I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you...by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,"

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John 3:16-18, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

John 3:35-36 "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

The Bible says that Jesus (The Word) always existed before His incarnation (taking on the flesh of a human being) and that He is equal with God in every way. It even says that through Jesus God made everything that is visible and invisible. So Jesus is the Creator. Jesus is God and it is important for you to understand this - it is because He is God that His sacrifice for sins on the Cross was acceptable to God and possible -it is because He is God that His blood can atone for all sin for all time - it is because He is God that He was able to rise from the dead. Listen to the beginning of John's Gospel and learn about Jesus, the Word:

The Eternal Word

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-26050a)] it.

John’s Witness: The True Light

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John (this is speaking of John the Baptist). 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own,[c (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-26056c)] and His own[d (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-26056d)] did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him (that is JESUS), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word Becomes Flesh

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”
16 And[e (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-26061e)] of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son,[f (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-26063f)] who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

[B]The Gospel: Jesus, "God in the flesh", fully God and fully man, was born of a virgin (so He wasn't conceived in sin), He grew up and lived a sinless life, kept God's Law perfectly (He never sinned once - in thought, word or deed), He died for your sins and mine and the sins of the whole world, was buried (to put away sin) and rose from the dead after 3 days, defeating sin and death forever (proving His sacrifice was accepting to God in place of sinners)! He offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who repent (repentance is a change of mind which results in a change of behavior) and believe in Him (to trust Him by faith) that His sacrifice was sufficient to pay your debt of sin, and that His shed blood has the power to cleanse your life and bring you to God.

Hebrews 4:7
"TODAY, IF YOU WILL HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."

Hebrews 2:3
"how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,"

2 Corinthians 6:2
"For He says: 'IN AN ACCEPTABLE TIME I HAVE HEARD YOU, AND IN THE DAY OF SALVATION I HAVE HELPED YOU.' Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."

1 Peter 1:23-25
"having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because "ALL FLESH IS AS GRASS, AND ALL THE GLORY OF MAN AS THE FLOWER OF THE GRASS. THE GRASS WITHERS, AND ITS FLOWER FALLS AWAY, BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

To anyone who reads this, my prayer, is that the Word of God will cut into your heart and mind and "turn" you from your sin, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to God, in repentance, and to Jesus Christ, the Savior, by faith. I leave you with the searing words of God in hope that your hearts will be softened and God will open your hearts to the idolatry of video game collecting, the evil and wickedness present in the majority of the gaming (and entertainment) industry, and most of all the sin in your own hearts and minds for which you WILL give an account for, in Judgment, before Almighty God. The question is, are you willing to pay the cost for following the Savior, Jesus? The cost is great. You will have to give up your sinful pleasures and many things of the world which you now cling to. You may lose friends, family, career, home - possibly even your life. I can testify, any loss is worth gaining Christ.

Yes, I used to be an avid collector, but now I am a servant of God in Christ. Idolatry - this is what the majority of "collecting" is about. I was an idolater, adulterer, blasphemer, fornicator, liar, thief - and so much more - now I am a true "child" of God, pursing holiness and righteousness in Christ, seeking to love God and love others, learning to be self-less (not selfish) - all the "the praise of the glory of His grace". All glory to God alone.

Not all video games are evil, but the majority are. God is holy - He see's in black and white in regards to morality. If you are "dead in your sins" you can't see this. You must be "born again" by the Spirit of God. Your mind is "blinded" by Satan and sin. There is no "grey area" with God, no "shades of grey". It's either right or wrong, good or evil. You are either for Him or against Him, either His friend or His enemy. God is light, and those that profess to know God will walk in the light as He is in the light. If you profess to believe in God, do you believe in God's Son, Jesus Christ and His saving work at the Cross? If not, you are damned, because even the demons believe in God; and they tremble and yet we know demons are condemned. It is only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ that your soul is saved from Hell and eternal punishment. Do you tremble before your God? You should. His greatness, His power, His glory is incomprehensible and vast beyond measure. I pray with all my heart, that in reaching out to all of you here at Collector's Edition.org, many will come to repentance and faith in Jesus and find that "New Life" that I found. God bless you.

Romans 14:12 "So then each of us shall give account of himself to God."

Acts 20:21 "testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks (gentiles - anyone of any nationality other than Jewish), repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

Romans 1:16-32 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek (which is "Gentile" - the Apostle means "anyone other than the Jew" which is a reference to all peoples and nations outside of Israel). For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice such things."

If you have read this far, I congratulate you. God is obviously working in your life to reconcile you to Himself; to save you through His Son Jesus. If you see from the above Scriptures that you are sinful (and you understand what sin is - gross violations of God's moral Law - not just of the hand but of the heart too) - then I encourage you to repent. Call upon God, in Jesus' name, confessing your sins (name them) and asking Him for the help to forsake them. Ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you. He will. God is rich in mercy to all who call upon Him. If you truly repent and believe the gospel, YOU WILL BE SAVED! God will grant you the gift of everlasting life, and your sins will be forgiven. You will no longer stand condemned before God. You can walk in newness of life, loving God and people, living to please God. Your "relationship" to God (not your religion) will be reconciled. God isn't interested in religion, but your heart he wants.

Make Psalm 51 your prayer. Get a good Bible (in English, look for New King James Version or the classic King James Bible) - read your Bible daily, and obey the principles and truths God reveals to you. Pray daily. In prayer you talk to God, and God talks to you by His written Word in the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit will guide and lead you. Find a Bible-believing church and commit yourself to fellowship there. Serve God by sharing your faith in Jesus as often as the opportunity should arise.

A Prayer of Repentance

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

51 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,[a (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+51&version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-14696a)]
And blameless when You judge.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

Welcome "back" Flash! Its really crazy to have read through your posts since I've been on here (2013 sometime). You actually live close enough that we could go out for some coffee or something if I had a few hours to spare, and we probably share some similar experiences in life based on some things I've read you post before. I'm not familiar with the ministry or people of your particular church in Plymouth, but I'm VERY familiar with the area and travel there frequently.

I'm glad you've got a relationship with The Lord, that's what we're all ultimately on this crazy planet for and it seems your still as zealous as ever (based on these posts) -- good on 'ya mate, but I'd be interested in chatting with you about where you're at and how things are going for you sometime via PM or email. I always enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, and possibly adding a word or a sentence and at times even a chapter to the living epistle they already are -- so if you're up to chat a bit, let me know, and if not, I hope and pray you continue to be led/molded/shaped into the passionate, mature, anointed, and balanced individual He's got you to be!

I'd totally go out for a bite with ya Tom, ESPECIALLY for some curry! I like things spicy! (But would pass on the rest -- much too "spicy" for my tastes!)

Also, I'll stop hijacking Flash's thread here --- to the random thoughts thread we go! :superman:
