Woah! That's significantly higher than I was expecting! Seriously, the pricig of these CE's is getting out of hand now, and it almost feels as if we're being taken for mugs!

A few years ago something like this would have retailed at no more than £49.99. But seems that now they're pumping these kind of things out for £70-£90 a pop for medium tier CE's and around £100-£130 for higher tier CE's

I am sincerely hoping that this edition will not be exclusive to Amazon here in the UK! It doesn't say so on the site, but ShopTo are usually the first to list such things if they are going to be widely available...

GAME already have an exclusive DLC edition, so I am wondering whether they will bother stocking this CE as well?

Part of the pricing is likely to do with the current lot of stuff out/due out in the run up to Christmas. Most will settle for one CE, I imagine. It is deeply saddening that these prices have drastically gone up. Deus Ex alone really surprised me (I like Play Arts figures but they basically added the RRP figure price ontop).

For this item and considering the price, is that a real gold ring? It better be, then I may be able to justify it. For now it's a pre-order that I'm not fully committing to.

Still pretty pricey for what you get, only $40 cheaper that Uncharted 3 EE...and that's a pretty big package!
Also, the figurines looks to appear only about as tall as a DVD case, maybe a little taller??

The price is pretty ridiculous for what they're giving. But then again, being PAL exclusive probably adds GBP 20-30 to the price. I foresee this being a price drop pretty fast as demand is likely to be low at the current price. Most people would rather spend their money for the big name CEs like UC3, MW3, skyrim. Wrong timing for an overpriced CE. Gonna wait on this and pick it up when the price crashes.

I will just mention, this was a pretty badly announced release. We're now approaching release, yet we're still asking questions about exclusivity and availability! It was also very poorly advertised, by both SEGA and Amazon, and details are still quite sketchy

When you compare this to something else like the Uncharted 3 Explorer Edition or Skyrim's CE, this CE was given very little exposure. Even now we're wondering whether or not it was exclusive to Amazon, or even whether it was actually supposed to be available for the UK at all - With Amazon you never really know, as they tend to often import CE's from other parts of Europe and pass them off as UK exclusives...


SEGA should have also played a bigger part in promoting this CE. They should have made it clear on their blog where exactly it was supposed to be released, and also which retailers were stocking it. I presume they would have this information in advance? So why not make that clear from the start? Other companies manage to do this quite easily - When was the last time you saw a badly marketed Call Of Duty CE?

Definitely a missed opportunity by SEGA. Withe the massive sonic fan base, i dont understand why it was so hard to make an announcement. It doesnt make any sense

I undertand why retailers may not want to announce how limited an edition is but i wish it would be as simple as Zavvi made it with the MGS steelbook
