Oh wow, very nice, I had not seen this one. I think I'd like it more if it was white and pink like the first, but this still looks awfully nice. I prefer the art on this version.

I like this too. It's good that it's the opposite of the white model, like a darker side to FFXIII :) I'd like to have this in my FFXIII collections.

"Final Fantasy XIII-2 Will Be Available in Three Editions"
Namco Bandai that you will be able to select from your choice of either a standard edition, a limited edition or a big-boy special edition. No details have been revealed on what the limited and special editions will contain, but Square Enix is set to reveal all this coming week.

The triple choices are definitely destined for Australia and may also be available in Europe and other PAL territories given the nature of the reveal.

I pre ordered this off Amazon Japan fthrough a friend to get the region free version as i dont believe the others are region free.

But i plan on canceling as i dont wanna sink 400+ into another PS3.

There is no restriction on the which game canbe played and all ps3 have the option to change language. Also you won't have a problem to create an online account either.

The only problem maybe for movie play back, most blu-rays are region free but I think most of Asia is a different region compared to japan with dvd and blurays. you will have to confirm that though.

I have the cloud black edition ps3 from Japan and it plays all my blu rays. Japan and NA have the same region for blu rays for whatever reason, the issue is with european blu rays

I agree with Leonix7791, I too prefer the original FFXIII Lightning Edition, the box artwork was just unbelievable absolutely stunning best artwork I've seen on a console box!

Although this one is pretty cool as well as least it won't discolour.

Games are one thing, hardware is another. I think they fall into Non-Exportable. Try ordering it to your address and see if it goes through. I tried a UK and US address and failed. I'll try a HK one.

^^ If there is an Asian one then it'll definitely be cheaper. They're nearly always are.

The console is currently AVAILABLE for preorder at amazon.co.jp. You can set up an account at dv8cag.com and the guy will export it from Japan to you and charge you for the extra shipping costs. I've imported two Japanese PS3s from him in the past. He does a great job and doesn't overcharge you either.

I think the eBay ones aren't too badly priced, especially if they have an "Asian" version. I got the white/pink one last year Asian version. Doesn't make any difference between that and a Japanese version imo. Looks the same and works the same but was over $100 cheaper :)

The price was 37 000 ish yen (roughly 485 AUD). Now ppl are selling it for 40000 plus yen. Ebay ones will roughly be 680 USD + shipping on top of that.
