View Full Version : Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Announced

If you pay close attention to the news you've probably caught wind of the Limited Edition of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection that has been announced for the North American market. I've received dozens of emails on the subject so I figured I better post up the news.

Available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 the Limited Edition includes the standard edition of the release along with what looks like a fairly substantial hard-cover Art Book. This makes for a fairly simple LE release though the large box that will house the two items was designed by Yoji Shinkawa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoji_Shinkawa).

While this wont be nearly as sought after as the very quickly sold out Zavvi exclusive SteelBook (http://collectorsedition.org/game-db/metal-gear-solid-ultimate-hd-collection-ps3-2) variant of this release, it would make an excellent pickup for any fan of the series.

I can't BELIEVE the demand for it. I will NEVER sell mine! Mwahahahaha Oh and I also snag one of these NTSC limited editions. That artbook is no joke. It may seem small, but it's 250+pages and that is a hefty artbook. I don't think they'll make that many of the NTSC ones (but of course, they won't be numbered like the zavvi steelbook). I wonder what # I'll get?

I've already pre-ordered the Zavvi steelbook but I'll definitely be picking this one up too. That artbook is going to be beautiful.

I'm jealous :) The zavvi one is going to be amazing, I just wish they'd stop the orders for all the people on ebay with mulitple copies, that would make some PO'd ebayers, then people like me would have a chance to get it :)

Looks very nice! But it seems they try to overflow the market with MGS stuff. The Risk edition, the countless special editions and now some covers for the iphone. :scratch:
