It looks like the recent dead island steelbook which also looks like a stickerbook.

Why all this hate for the sticker book, the dead island steelbook was some cut down version with some stickers on it as well. Can't see the difference but manufacturer.

There's just something cheap and effortless IMO, plain steelbooks can be bought easily and then slap a sticker on it and all of a sudden it becomes a sticker book. Not my cup of tea really!

I could get any stickerbooks made but would more than 1 person be interested in a particular stickerbook? If a company sells them all of a sudden they become collectable or worth purchasing,

Just don't get it but each to there own :v:

When people say stickerbook, I think they mean a steelbook that looks like it has just a sticker on the front rather than the art printed directly on the metal. So I think this is a stickerbook still, looks awesome though. Can't wait for mine to arrive!

I'm not a huge steelbook collector and my knowledge is poor at best but surely this can't be true, If it was made by Scanavo and has the steelbook logo then it must be a steelbook. Why call it a stickerbook.

Are you saying that the steelbook community refuse to accept these types as an official steelbook.

Are we expecting all new steelbooks to be like this in the future?

It doesn't matter who it's made by, but if it's a Steelbook with stickers on the front and rear.... it's a stickerbook.

Source code is a 100% stickerbook, not a proper Steelbook. But is made by Steelbook.com

I can't stand them personally but each to there own, you can pick up plain steelbooks quite cheap from amazon, and it's not hard to get a vinyl print to stick on them! you have your own stickerbook for any discs you would like to put in them,

Example : This saints row stickerbook, I could purchase say a pack of 6 plain steelbooks, get the stickers made...slap them on the front and sell them, nobody would have a clue they wasn't "genuine" release.

Stickerbooks are very uncommon tbh but atm It tends to be the free promo steelbooks that are these stickerbooks, and not genuine releases.

Maybe the shops selling these stickerbooks are actually making them themselves??

I'm pretty certain there's never been an official release with a CE that contains a stickerbook rather than a Steelbook.

The only stickerbooks that pop to mind are :

Saints row
Uncharted collection
Dead island.

Think that's about it tbh!

If you go to steelbook.com they show you what options you have if you want them to produce steelbooks for your product, as of late..there are proud to introduce a newer less expensive economical option also known as stickerbooks..prior to this amazing breakthru invention, companies could only order genuine steelbooks, but to boost sales, steelbook.com decided to cut corners and have a thrifty option, which it seems stores and some video game companies jumped on as promos...we have steelbook.com to thank for that.

If anyones interested in stickerbooks I'm going to look into how much the stickers would be to get hold of and and then the steelbooks themselves are fairly cheap, so watch this space as I might have saints row stickerbooks for about £4 each soon (and any others anybody wanted made :))

obviously there homemade, but no diffrent to how scanavo make them (plain Steelbook and slap a sticker on the front)

you think everything is so easy & cheap. But the reality ist not so easy! The biggest problem (expensivest one) is the license to create a cover. the stellbook & the sticker is nothing!

You will need a licence if you intend to sell or distribute the steelbook, even for free.

However for personal use, I don't see any reason to obtain or even obligated to get a licence. But these stickerbooks will no way be official nor have any value.
