Totally called the Soul Calibur V book as part of the CE. I saw it as an artbook though but a case is cooler and more clever for me anyways.

Ezio is a great choice. He fits the style perfectly. I would have wanted Mitsunari Ishida though, or a second coming by Link.

Did you delete all the cookies from game.co.uk and they are still in basket.

I have been told it could be a problem with the old and new cookies interfering with each other.

Also try this:


Go to your Account
2) Select "Edit personal Details"
3) Select "Wallet" from the Left
4) Select "Delete Card" - You should have no cards there
5) Now "Select Manage Addresses"
6) Select "Add New Address"
7) Fill in the details but do not enter details that are NOT necessary or compulsory
8) Save the address
9) Go back to "Manage Address"
10) Delete the old address, you may have to make the new address default
11) Go back to "Wallet"
12) Select Add New Card - enter the new card details
13) Ensure that you tick the circle at the bottom, which is the address you just entered. This creates a new link to the a card and the address

I did it with my account a few weeks back and pre-orders went through fine, although stupid me, have to return because I was suppose to cancel it.

I would highly doubt this to stay a European exclusive as SC IV CE was released in NA and the design of this CE w/ the book box is an indication of a "cheap" mass production that in my opinion should surely come to NA.

Isn't this due out in February? That's a long ways away. CE don't usually hit retailers here in NA until a month or 2 before release (with the rare exception of games like Mass Effect 3 which are enormous titles)

The problem is not restricted to firefox, it's the same for Chrome, internet explorer and Opera.

I deleted the GAME.co.uk cookies and they were automatically removed form my basket.

It is an unveiling of the game and collector's edition but I see nothing in the article about "exclusivity" to any region or retailer yet, so I will remain hopeful. Do you know any other sources from Europe? I'm not familiar with Namco enough to know where information might be posted or leaked to.

There's not been been a sellout for a Beat um up Collector's Edition as far I know.

This is the first Soul Calibre edition in PAL regions so that might be different, but I'm guessing that this will be around after launch. Pure guess though.

^ It's beautiful. The book case is classy and it looks almost like my Bible. Loving the artbook as well. It's pretty neat to see character drafts as they give you a glimpse into the minds of the artists and what the concepts and designs they formulated for each character.

I'm still bummed by the fact that Taki's not going to be playable. Oh well, looking forward to using Lizardman and Xiba.

Kilik's new style is such a waste. In general the entire bottom row of characters are a waste of space, minus Edge Master. Really have low expectations for this game for once (burnt three times with no Hwang...) though Famitsu have given it a strong score.

eg. Exclusive CE/LE from Poland. All those Steelbooks from Spain, France, Germany, etc. Same with Australia/NZ.

Similar things happen in Asia, especially in Japan with their awesome usual exclusive edition for Japan only [language and audio].

All we can really do is either appreciate those unobtainable editions or pay heaps to get them :P

Just for the record, Japan is not considered part of Asia for game releases. They even have a whole load of games that are released exclusively for Japan of which maybe 10% get an english release. They're like a world of their own on the video game world map :spiteful:

Serious visual novels don't usually feature girls in "skimpy costumes" on the cover.

Also,

Japan is not considered part of Asia for game releases. They even have a whole load of games that are released exclusively for Japan of which maybe 10% get an english release.

But that doesn't mean anything. Some visual novels/ other Japanese games gets released for example in China, but never in English speaking countries.
On the other hand, Japanese people may say exactly the same about western market, as a lot and I mean LOT of games never get released in Japan.

Received my Soul Calibur V CE this morning, wrapped in that horrid double-sided white bubblewrap. Needless to say, it arrived with bashed up corners, so this one is going back for a replacement for sure!

It's actualy quite a nice CE though, and for anyone who already has the Fable III CE it's not unfamiliar. It's practically the same thing, albeit without the leather buckle. You can clearly see where Namco Bandai got their inspiration from!

I'm not entirely sure what relevance a book has with a fighting game though. It's nice, but it doesn't quite fit in with the style of the game. I also feel that these kind of CE's are often ruined by the fact that they usually contain the standard plastic Amaray case inside


One other thing I did notice is that there appears to be a sticker over the rating, just above the barcode. I wonder what kind of mis-print is underneath to warrant requiring an additional sticker?

The book fits in fine. The series is all about 'A tale of soul and swords'. A book tends to show during the campaign modes. It did in Soul Blade and a couple of the Caliburs, anyway. Maybe skipped one though.

I forgot about Mortal Kombat, still look at the prices now, they continue to fall for those.

If I were you I would wait for price drop or maybe hold onto it for 2 weeks, see if price falls.

I have 31 days to return it, but I fear that stocks might dry up. My biggest fear is when things sell out and I have to go back to resorting to eBay to get what I want. Hence why I pre-order everything now, as I don't want to go back to relying on eBay like I once did

I might wait for the inevitable price drop, return my damaged one for a full refund of the original price, then buy another for the cheaper price :P

However, that wouldn't solve the issue of how they ship them. Any subsequent copies I order will just be shipped in the same manner - White double-sided bubblewrap. What I really want to do is stop GAME from using this kind of packaging to ship CE's.

This kind of packaging is perfect for a clothes company shipping T-shirts, jeans, and jumpers, but not £70 video games which are delicate and easily damaged!

I pre ordered in game station so I could go to the store myself and pick it up(doing the same with ME3).
I think it a lovely edition. I dont even like fighting games but the minute I saw this I had to have it.
