Been keeping my eye on this constantly for a few days waiting for Nintendo of America to make a similar announcement. Remember a few years ago they released a gold Zelda edition DS Lite bundle with Phantom Hourglass in the US and a much more limited silver one in the UK? Both released on the same day, Black Friday. See the release date for this 3DS bundle? November 25th, Black Friday. So who knows, NoA could just be dragging their feet. I've been purposely delaying buying a 3DS because I knew sooner or later there would be a Zelda version, but now that there is, it only plays PAL games :( Here's hoping for a North American release :beg:

Agreed. The spotlight over the console seems to say: yes, this is the holy artifact you have been waiting for...come forth and be rewarded for thy patience. The spotlight and the gold text make it very attractive. The US one is too flashy and bright. But inside the consoles are the same and that's all I really care about ;)

The US version doesn't. It doesn't even have those circle seals, it's just glued shut.

Well, perhaps. But with the amount of glue on there you kind of have to wreck one of the panels to get it open. So if the box has been opened at some point and then re-sealed you could probably tell.

Agreed. Mine isn't that bad since I used a knife to cut through the glue, instead of just ripping it open.

Well considering all online stores are sold out at the moment, you may want to consider getting one if you can somehow - perhaps another batch will be produced after christmas its hard to say.

Majora's Mask. I've still never found a definitive source that proves they mass produced anything but the gold collector's edition. That's the one I had as a kid and the only edition I can find listed in online databases. Besides that cart and Demo Copy/Not For Resale carts, I'm not convinced they made any other editions officially. I do see non-collector's editions/grey carts on eBay, but I'm led to believe these are counterfeits. Somebody please correct me if you know differently.

Mine arrived yesterday and its a thing of beauty. I wont ever sell my one though,thats why it got ripped open and played straight away.

I dont know why people would pay ebay prices for one when Zavvi still have them for sale at the original price.
