why did you pay $150?..it was restocked and on amazon up until 2 days ago for $99.99 and at gamestop on-line also until this past friday..and there supposedly printing more of them right now..(my local toys r us has 3 in stock for PS3 and 1 in stock for 360)...next time, check in with multiple retailers before your force to pay over list or ebay like prices, if you had bought it for $100 and tried selling it for $159..i understand, we live in a free market, supply and demand dictate prices and i'm all for capitalism..but to pay $150 from the get-go sounds illogical, especially since your ready to off-load it soo soon,..and don't want it anymore.

I bought mine off Craigslist. All my local retailers ran out of copies - was not sure if they were going to receive more or not. The cheapest copy on Amazon was $160 or so at the time I purchased this copy. Just looking to sell it off or trade for a Mass Effect CE at this point.

I've never seen one of these before, and picked it up while on vacation in south-east Asia. Was the only copy on the shelf. It says "For Korea Only" on the back, and is about twice as thick as the CE (as shown in one of the photos below). I paid a good amount for it myself (prefer not to disclose the amount) - the shopkeeper claimed it was very rare. It's a gorgeous set, so I couldn't resist, even though I have no idea what the contents are (maybe a Korean speaker can translate).

Asking $200 or best offer, so please don't feel shy. I doubt another one of these will pop up soon. If it does not sell, I am happy to keep it in my collection :) Will ship worldwide, of course. I am located in Los Angeles, California.

Yep looks like you're right. That one appears to be the Korean CE (page labeled CE, it comes with a lot of unlocks, map), and the cardboard box in the link I posted appears to be the regular Korean edition (or an early release of the regular edition). That isn't to say that the PS3 version isn't rare.

That's what I meant. The link I posted is likely the PC version of the regular Korean edition of the game. Which is similar to what you have. The link driv3r is of the Korean CE.

It is quite possible that there was no CE released for the PS3/360 in Korea, and that the version you have was a limited release and could be quite rare.

I just went on Amazon UK and these are the contents of the UK edition:

• Special GT5 packaging with specialised outer box finish

The UK version makes no mention of the keychain, nor the diecast car model, both of which are in the US version. Also, I do not know if the book that comes in the US version is the same as the UK version. The US book is 300 pages, and the UK one says 200+ pages. OK, I'll think about it, I already have the Signature version, but I like that diecast Nissan, it reminds me of "fast and furious" series. I don't really see how it's steep. Many steelbooks comes packed with something or as a pre-order bonus. This is really no different. Sure, it's cheap now, but sooner or later there will be none left, not to mention this is only available in America at the moment. Look at the Crystal Edition of Final Fantasy XIII-2; that didn't sell in America, and soon it was selling for outrageous amounts of money, especially shipped to America!

When it comes to limited edition things, whether they're numbered or not, the price you pay for them does not always equal the price you can get for them. It's silly to be dissing a seller when many sellers here charge $40 for any steelbook--many of which they got for a lower price themselves.

Used to do that myself, helping people getting items at cost. And then when I asked some people to return the favor, I got messages like "I can probably source it for you for X Euros/Dollars", X being retail price x2 or x3.

I understand both parties's points tho. Someone wants to make a profit in order to pay for his collection, other people are upset that he's not trying to disguise it. In my opinion: the price of an item is the price people are willing to pay for it. If he can't sell it for this price, he'll reduce it, otherwise some other people will pay for it. Bashing him won't change anything.

Sorry, but any numbered item like Dead Space ULE, or Magna Carta 2, or whatever else are NOT worth hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. That's $100 or so worth of content in there, but because someone wants it, it's worth $800, or $1000, or whatever.

If you hate this person for trying to make a profit on a limited pre-order item that is cheap RIGHT NOW (which it won't be later), then you know what's the most effective strategy against him? Neither do I, but bumping his thread over and over is not it. Real smart there.

My wife received this in person at Comic Con 2011 - where they gave out around 30 of these (maybe less), as far as I could tell. Proceeds from this will go towards her makeup/shoe/purse collection (so it's for a great cause). :)

I did not have to pay extra for the t-shirts, promo items, etc. They were given out when we lined up for autographs, but were limited in number and not everyone received one. Also, they limited us to only one signed item per person, so it was a challenge to collect multiple autographs last night.

Interesting story about this piece: I purchased it from someone who used to work at Infinity Ward. He obtained the autograph when Kojima visited in December 2008. Apparently, Kojima was doing "research" on FPS.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. I think BioShock is pretty darn iconic already, and it only came out 5 years ago. :)

I think the VGA graded game plus the launch kit make a great combo. The latter has historical significance in my opinion.

Hmmm I agree with mortal Monday, the grade on Bioshock is a bit low for an investment if it was 85 or higher then maybe but collectors of the future will want higher IMHO

Finding an 85 or higher graded BioShock would be near impossible, as the box is very fragile, as are the Big Daddys inside. My "80" grade is the highest I have seen, and the highest on eBay thus far. In context, it is an excellent grade for what it is in my opinion.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have one unsigned Tomb Raider lithograph. I have to check to see what the limited edition # is. Since my signed ones sold for $199 plus shipping, I was thinking of selling the unsigned one for $120 + shipping, which would be about $130 shipped to the UK (or best offer). When I placed the order, I made sure I purchased the Xbox 360 version - that is why I am advertising it as the Xbox 360 version. Besides the game, there is no difference between the 360 and PS 3 version. They were both limited to 300 pieces each. I am assuming they sent me the correct version, but cannot be 100% sure unless I open the game, of course (which I will not do). :) Great question, thanks.

I have inspected the original shipping box and was not able to locate a platform indication (had some other numbers scrawled on it, however). I have not heard reports of them sending the wrong platform out to customers, so I am pretty confident they sent me the 360 version.

It was so long ago now, but I emailed the company and asked them if there was some way to identify platform editions. I think those numbers may indicate which edition it is. I can't remember for sure. Let me check my email logs.

Yup. I just found the email. There should be a barcode on the shipping container. The last three digits/figures of the barcode indicate which version it is. The last three figures will be either PS3 or XBOX. Not sure about PC though.

I was curious myself, which is why I listed as a $0.99 starting auction so that the market can decide the price. I am running out of space, so I am happy to sell this to someone who can keep it in their collection. There are 12 of the extra exclusive version - they will command a higher price, but not too much more than this one, I think. The price/value for any item depends on the economy, how well you promote your item, and the demand for the item, of course. Since this is the first, and most likely, the only KoA game that will be made, it will always have a decent value, especially since this version was limited to only 300.

I'm really curious to see how this edition will do in the long run. Will prices go up? Will nobody care and will prices tumble? What about that guy that bought that extra exclusive edition (the one that was limited to only a handful and came with a unique print) for thousands. How will his version do?

I dunno, the exclusive edition wasn't that expensive I got mine for 850 shipped to Australia, happened to get number 6. I just wished that they'd given the same number statue instead of just a random one off the production line and just have mcfarlane/schilling/salvatore sign them.

Yes, the print, and the combination of the statue, prints, and game were limited to 300 per console. My statue is a low number as well, so I am hoping that is adding to the value. And, again, everything that was originally sealed is still sealed, for those that like their items unopened.

No, it is not the same one, because mine is the Sideshow Collectibles Exclusive Edition which comes with the Ripper weapon for alternate display. This version is completely sold out and will never be remade.

That's a good question. I would think the Japanese might be worth more, but some collectors only like collecting NTSC, while others like collecting Japanese versions as well, so ultimately, it's worth how much someone is willing to pay.

Yep that's always the case

I would've assumed the japanese would be worth more as it must have been released first and then been the "original" or "first release" but you're certainly correct that a lot of collectors try to limit themselves to NTSC releases so who knows?
