Hello all,

Here is the start of my collection which with 2 little ones + a always heavy workload will update when i can.

I have been playing games since i would think 1981 when my dad brought home a massive (filled the dinner table that sits 8) a green screen Olivetti.
Over time i dread to think of the money spent on games & items (buy hey i do not drive so it would have gone somewhere)!
I will go though the main group of games i have them go though in date order of issue (PS1, PS2 etc etc) with LE/CE games & items.

I am a Final Fantasy & now Diablo III collector mainly.

I am in the middle of a big clear out as the house is sinking (ha ha) so some of my collection may appear on the for sale part but that may be in weeks/months time.

Also i must remember the (the 3 CCCs)

Also why do i call myself Hans v Hube well his name crops up in many a history book i have read & the battles he fought (all this with 1 arm missing).
I was very lucky to be able to hear some of my Grandfather's stories about his service in WWII (in North Africa then to the far east) escaping the Japanese outside Singapore & his fighting/been passed along the line with the Chindits.

Some people love Football etc i love history (hence the reason why, it was a toss up between Hans & Orde Wingate).

Sorry to say but i also have the BioShock 2 CE & the Big Daddy Bioshock 1 box set (tin case/figure) + collectors guide for the second one which i will add soon + the Bioshock 2 (Rapture Ed) for PS3 (the 2 above are on the Xbox).

I also have Bioshock 1 CE, but I have problems with importing Bioshock 2 CE to Czech Republic because it's so big and heavy. :nono::beg:

Love your Batman Arkham City guide! I wanted the Catwoman one as well, but could only find the Batman version. Figured it was better than nothing.

I have those two Lunar games myself and they're some of my favourite games. I still need to go after Suikoden and Suikoden II. Very jealous of yours! Just went after Phantasy Star I to IV so guess I'm gonna wait before hunting down more series! :lol: I'm a huge fan of the Atelier games. I didn't know the Atelier 2 Premium was that nice! Dang, something else to add to the list! I do have 1-3 and the Collectors Editions of the PS3 ones (Rorona and Totori). Pondering buying the JP Collectors Edition for Meruru, but waiting to see if NIS America will release it.

Edit ** And I just found out both Atelier Iris 1 and 2 got Premium Boxes with statues, aaaah.

Oh wow, the EU PSP covers are so nice. They removed the characters in NA for some reason (I guess it was too anime'ish? "Diablo Archive" is a collection of three novels and a short story, set in the world of Blizzard Entertainment's "Diablo" franchise. Although the tales feature some of the locations and characters from "Diablo I" and "Diablo II", they are on the whole unrelated to the source material, and therefore fully understandable to people who have never played the games.

Legacy of Blood - 2.5 Stars - written by Richard Knaak, this novel starts off with an interesting premise, but soon gets buried under a huge number of cardboard characters, idiotic plot developments, and terrible writing. It didn't suck per se (I've read much worse), but one thing's sure; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The Black Road - 5 Stars - written by Mel Odom, this is by far the best novel in this collection. Writing style is just right, the plot is interesting, and the story on the whole is excellent. The characterization in particular is far beyond what we regularly see in fantasy novels. The protagonist is a complicated young man with a troubled past and an uncertain future, whose internal struggle is no less important then his campaign against the forces of evil. Buyard Cholik, a priest who has sold his soul to Hell, suffers from all of the human doubts and uncertainties, and has understandable motives for his actions. Even the demon Kabraxis possesses a genuine personality, with his own unique understanding of humanity, as well as motives that go far beyond the mindless bloodthirstiness that is so often the trademark of fantasy devils. The ending of "The Black Road" is particularly enjoyable, as it pits moral pragmatism against moral absolutism, leaving the reader to decide whether the ending was good or bad. A quality book, indeed.

The Kingdom of Shadow - 4 Stars - this novel proves that even average/bellow-average writers like Knaak can occasionally churn out good fiction. "The Kingdom of Shadow" combines elements of horror, mystery, and adventure to create an entertaining story that goads the reader into a page-turning frenzy. Writing style isn't nearly as bad as in "Legacy of Blood", and while protagonists have no depth whatsoever ("noble mercenary captain", "grumpy old wizard", "cheerful giant", "heroic necromancer", etc. are all exactly what it says on the tin), a lot more thought was invested into villains this time around. The bad guys actually have motives that go beyond what's usual for Knaak (just evil for the sake of being evil, or evil for the sake of taking over the world, or similarly childish stuff), and one of them is even redeemed at the end. "The Kingdom of Shadow" still has plot holes aplenty, but they are nowhere near as glaring as in other Knaak's works. Overall, a fun fantasy novel.

Demonsbane - 3 Stars - written by Robert B. Marks, this short story follows Siggard, a warrior whose only goal is to take his revenge on the archdemon responsible for the death of his family. It's well written, fast-paced, and not long enough to become boring. Characters aren't very convincing, and emotional reactions are almost non-existent despite all the horrible things that are happening. The finale, though predictable and anti-climatic (Siggard strides head-on into the demon base of operations, and murders the archdemon faster then you can read this sentence), is sort of redeemed by the slight twist in the end. "Demonsbane" is an amusing story that works as a fit finisher to the "Diablo Archive".

DISCLAIMER: I've given "Diablo Archive" four stars not because each novel in the collection is a four-stars fantasy novel, but because the collection itself is a four-stars fantasy collection. Its overall quality is above-average for a game-based book series.

Once opened it came with 4 little clear circle stickers that kept in place & 2 have gone now at the top that is it but the good thing unlike others is that they do not leave marks but lose their stickiness very soon.

Always had a nose for a bargain & sometimes have had this feeling i must go into this shop (no not voices in my head) but i do make thing out of clouds?
Also the way it is at the mo with people & cash flow.

Last 2 things i have 2 Daughters & one is only 3.5 months old so for safety sake i have cut out the drink & going at at the mo (responsible parent) so i have a bit of cash to burn (also no longer smoke but need no patches).

Then i have a demanding job that needs you to have a clear head (so no hangovers) at all times (which suits me now).

They do Due to the world we live in at the mo.

+ have you seen Game.co.uk shares fall, they are cutting prices just to get a sale Also applies to HMV sometimes cheaper than Amazon & it's in your hand.

Then you have if you do in your county a lot of these cash converters where people sell stuff just to raise cash (quicker & less hassle than ebay/Amazon etc) the difference in price is say what you would pay for post.

My town now has about 5 or 6 of these shops (high streets full of them or 99p lands etc).

That was a very long time ago (early 70's).

Most of the items i buy have been searched for & brought cheap from Shops & internet hence why i kept some of the prices on the boxes etc.
Always on the hunt.

Now i am a daddy to 2 young children, cut out the drink to next to nothing, no longer smoke (was up to 40 a day in the past) i do not drive (can work from home if i wished/need to).

So instead of say £60+ on a good night out, have started to look at Games etc to collect (some like fine wine will go up in value).

+ the interest rate in the UK is pooh so no point saving (doing my bit ha ha by moving cash around).

Sorry to be a bore but that's how i do it

I miss Working Designs releases, their stuff was always so impressive.
I have those two Lunar games myself and they're some of my favourite games. I still need to go after Suikoden and Suikoden II. Very jealous of yours! Just went after Phantasy Star I to IV so guess I'm gonna wait before hunting down more series! :lol: I'm a huge fan of the Atelier games. I didn't know the Atelier 2 Premium was that nice! Dang, something else to add to the list! I do have 1-3 and the Collectors Editions of the PS3 ones (Rorona and Totori). Pondering buying the JP Collectors Edition for Meruru, but waiting to see if NIS America will release it.

Edit ** And I just found out both Atelier Iris 1 and 2 got Premium Boxes with statues, aaaah.
The list just keeps on growing and growing. I must thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Got 1 with the pre-order (PS3)

Then wished to have a Xbox360 one & found one going for £12 on Ebay (cheap at the time just after it came out)

While looking for other Final Fantasy stuff came across 2 more at different times both below the £10 mark & in fact the last one was only £4.60 new sealed & including P&P.

If i find any others still sealed under £10 may buy more to keep?

Nice work. I've seen one sold for £36 or something like that, insane what people pay on ebay sometimes, especially as it didn't include the game. With the DLC available I think that's when the value of these dropped dramatically. :/

I managed to get 3 of these, 2 x Xbox360 and the 1 x PS3 one which is opened so I could use it. I didn't have to pay for any of them. :D

After finding out there was a Crystal Edition I tried my hardest to get hold of one but it wasn't available, I was way too late as I found out after the launch date lol. I have been out of touch with gaming for quite a few years so it was my fault, now I'm less likely to let it happen again.

So I went to GAME (UK) to see if they have any in stock, they said no but I can get the Collector's Edition. I wanted PS3 but they only had the standard game available and no pre-order PS3 steelcases however they did have 1 copy of Xbox360 Collector's Edition left with the Xbox steelcase so I relunctantly bought that one.

Decided not to open it as I wasn't going to play it yet, I was also away on holiday for a week. I came back from holiday and went into GAMESTATION, they had copies of PS3 Collector's Edition with steelcases so I decided to buy this and get a refund on the Xbox360 copy. Whilst buying it, I asked if I could have an extra steelcase and he said no problem as they had loads on the shelf with more coming in. :D

When I returned the Xbox360 Collector's Edition back to GAME they didn't ask for the steelcase so I kept that too! I later got a copy of Xbox360 Crystal Edition on eBay for about £100, which was far better than paying £150 which the PS3 version was worth for nearly every auction.

I think I need to start making friends at GAME and GAMESTATION to get freebies in the future.

PS. Very nice collection you have! I am just starting my collection and it's pretty bare so far. :/

Well, I was supposed to get a Zack from an eBay seller that I am in contact with. She ordered £39.99 excluding delivery which I haggled and now she saw the new Zack going for at least £42 she is changing her mind. :(

Tempted to get it from Australia but the shipping is so steep and unsure they are official or not. Be gutted to pay so much and it's not even real, especially as the Square Enix Shop warns you about all the fakes flying around in Australia.

I've probably spent around £1000 or so the last couple of months just because I got into FFXIII/XIII-2, which got me back into FFVII so trying to get those items too.

I saw a Crisis Core PSP go for £82 a couple of days ago and felt sick because I dnd't bid, it came with 5 games too. It wasn't a win/win situation though, the PSP wasn't boxed so I would have felt bad anyway as I'd probably buy it again boxed and with buster sword meaning more money lol.

The price of the DS protector was at first £99.99 each then down to £8 odd so i though i will get 2 & the Controllers at the same time (+ Panzer Front Pal & NTSC versions)

There was a pink one going not long ago (same guy making them) out bid on that also so the bidder must be wanting a set of them? :scratch:
