Finally, Nintendo announces the disponibility of a golden nunchuk !!!
but only through the japanese club nintendo...

Although the golden nunchuck itself looks great, why not make the wire gold as well - that just looks odd together and makes no sense

@joynulk : in fact, there is no price... it's on the club nintendo, you pay with nintendo point. It will be 600points (japanese point, it seems it is not the same value in Europe) or 400points if you register Skyward Sword on the club nintendo...
for the holster it will be 150points

I had not signed up for Club Nintendo until today so I have like 2000+ points. Time to spend!
I'm not sure why I didn't sign up earlier. Bummed about missing out on some of the Platinum gifts (especially those figures).

I'd be interested in that too. Are you talking about all the shop items or the gold/platinum prizes? I can tell you for America, Club Nintendo goes back to 2009 and off the top of my head these were the prizes:

2009 Platinum: Choice between Mario hat and Club Nintendo exclusive version of Punch-Out! for Wii.

2010 Platinum: Mario characters figurine (same one available for purchase in the Club Nintendo Europe shop, lol)

2011 Platinum: Mario pin set (25 pins in a special display box)

2009 and 2010 Gold were Club Nintendo calendars. I forget what this year's Gold prize was...but I bet it was another calendar.

Onyxia: You only need 600 points to get Platinum status...shoulda saved some of your codes for next year! But yeah I got plenty enough points for this should it come to the US. I think for now I'll spend some on the Zelda poster set we just got in store and keep an eye on eBay for the Japanese nunchuk!

A while back Club nintendo EU had a special limited Pokemon Girantina console only available through club nintendo - it was priced at 30,000 points!!!

Oh, I know, but I'm not too worried about reaching 600 again for next year, haha. I buy too many games!

And the value of the point is also different... I think that 600points in Japan is more something like 7000points in Europe...

When you purchase the games you get points which you can redeem for free items such as games, soundtracks, figurines, etc

To reach gold status you gotta rack up 300 points in a year, platinum is 600. Even if you spend them in the store, they keep track of how many total points you earned during the Club Nintendo year (which is something like July 1 2011 to June 30 2012). If you had points left over from the previous year those don't count; you can still spend them in the store but they don't count for what you earned this year. So the same goes for what you spend; it doesn't matter because it's not how many coins you have in the bank, it's how many you earned this year. Once that number gets to 300 or 600 you reach the reward status. For that yeah you win a prize. I posted earlier in this thread what the prizes have been so far over the past few years. This is stuff you don't (and can't) buy in the store; you get it for free as a reward for buying so damn much from Nintendo :D

if you go to www.buyclubnintendo.com they have all club nintendo UK products for sale, i've already bought from them...they usually new and sealed, but the boxes arrive with shelfware damage,..i think..and it's just a hunch..nintendo UK off-loads "damaged" boxes to this company, and they in turn resell..but so far as i can tell..there rather customer friendly, and check everybox to make sure item is in top condition, if your one of those serious mint condition style collectors, then forget it..but if you want to open the package and display item, then it's a great place to get things like the zelda statue or the gold mario kart wii wheel, or soundtrack cd's..etc.
