As is the trend with most modern games with a lot of DLC content WB recently announced a "Komplete" Edition for the 2009 franchise reboot: Mortal Kombat. Unlike most complete editions this one doesn't just bundle the DLC along with the original game, also included are all 15 classic costumes that were originally only offered as pre-order intensives (1 per store at that) or bundled with either of the very expensive CEs that released along side the standard edition. Also included is a 15 track soundtrack as well as a copy of the 1995 film of the same name, making it much more content rich than either of the CEs that were previously released
Due out on February 28th in North America and March 2nd in Europe, on both Xbox 360 and PS3 no price has been announced yet.... View this article on the HomePage. (http://collectorsedition.org/8989/mortal-kombat-komplete-edition-is-a-kick-in-the-balls-for-collectors)

To make things worse, I've read the Europe will not include download codes for the film and soundtrack!! :banghead: :(

Could always get the US version, the standard MK was region free so this one should be the same. :v:

For sure, like I was intending to do. But I find that move a little strange...perhaps it's to do with the movie rights on where to download it from but I'd be a little skeptical if they're price equally the same in their own region?! Which begs the question, will non-US resident still be able to download the movie? Or will the be region restricted? I'm going to assume the latter but it won't really affect me as I have both movies on Bluray anyway :) But still...

^ Well if redeeming the codes from an R2 account doesn't work, you can always make an R1 account and go from there.

NTSC [US] download codes are restricted in their own region as are PAL regions, but it's different for 'Movies'. They're blocked from being downloaded from other regions but their own. It's technically the same as Digital copies of a dvd/bd movie you buy, where the codes will only work in the region they're from. eg. UK Digital Copy redeem codes for UK iTunes can not be redeemed in Australian iTunes.
This won't be affecting me, but just a heads up on those who import it only to find out the movie won't be downloadable if you're outside of the US/Canada region. . [I]Yata!

There's no figure, steelbook, or tournament stick in the complete edition is there? So I'm not sure how its much better than the CEs. They're just giving even more content to the complete edition, making it an even better value, so I'm hardly mad. I'll probably get it.
In fact, its more of a kick in the balls to the people who bought the regular edition at release. imo

This is just a regular GOTY edition, nothing to fuss over about :)
No extra physical content, so CE's are still superior.
It's like complaining that Surival Edition Fallout 3 does not include all the DLC's that GOTY Edition does.

It's not a regular GOTYE though, it includes a soundtrack and a copy of the film... two pieces of bonus content that SHOULD have been included with the CE release.

I'd have liked the Soundtrack with the CE, not too fussed about the movie though, already own that :) xx

Oh, in that case, yeah, not exactly fair, at least the soundtrack should have been included ^_^
