Im sure that the more expensive version will be the collectors edition.

I might take a chance on this as £5 cheaper than shopto.

EB Games AUS represent, still got them in-stock online. Ninja Gaiden doesn't have a big following here, though I hear NG3 is no longer "hardcore" and has been toned down in difficulty to cater for more "casual" gamers and the use of the Move peripheral :S

Ok peeps. here is a reply to my email from tesco's.

Yes its true that there packing is not amazing.
However its £5 cheaper than shopto (the last other place with stock)

and if your in the uk you can also get another 8% off via quidco

here is the response to the email I sent to tescos:

Ive got mine on order with Amazon as they appeared to be the cheapest, £62.17.

A bit off topic but i ordered Kingdom Hearts for 3DS from Amazon today for £24.99 just as it appeared as a bit of a bargain. Its not a CE or anything but maybe something will be annouiced nearer the time of release.

I think the NG series has always had the same trend of releasing limited quantities of their CE/LE. Once they're gone you won't find new stocks at the retail stores or online stores.
Though I don't think the reviews will really affect CE collectors as it's the quality of the CE that essentially determines the choices we make, and in saying that, they could've included a steelbook to sweeten the CE <3

In Canada, the CE is only available thru EBgames online. With the mixed review, I am not surprise the CE is not sold out. I will wait until price drop.

I agree with them... in a way. I've played through the game for a while now and yes, it is pretty bad. You get trapped in an area, you beat hordes of weak enemies and you exit the area. The camera doesn't help either with all the zooming in on all the brutal kills doing more harm than good.

For a Ninja Gaiden game, it's terrible. But for an action game, it's mediocre at best. But to say that it's one of the worst action games ever (or according to IGN, a 4.0/10), is just stupid.

I'm extremely disappointed though. This used to be the game that makes you want to throw your controller at the TV. Now, it seems to have lost its identity.

For smaller CE with cardboard boxes they are terrible. For bigger edition they have been known to ship them in nothing but a plastic bag.

I've just received word form Amazon that my CE set has shipped.

My heart sank when i was told who was shipping it, Yodel. Though my MGS-HD sets from Zavvi were undamaged I noted some of the horror stories of other forum members.

I assume that shouldn't be an issue if amazon are doing thr packaging. Any thoughts?

The only similar CE i have is the Halo Reach Legendary CE and that was from Shopto and that came in a box that seemed to be custom made for it lol.

Minor Damage Report:

Delivered in a carton box that was slightly smaller than the NG3CE box, so it was sticking out by around 16mm. The protruding area on top was protected by place a small piece of flat cardboard on top of the gaping area as the flaps could no longer cover the entire top end. I saw that two of the bottom corners of the parcel got a bit of bumping and grinding during transit.

Outcome, a slight 45 degree angle crushing towards the left hand side back bottom side of the CE box, as shown on the following pics;

because the game got horrible reviews, i think the US Version come april will see the price get knocked down to $79.99 at least from $100, because these huge boxes are taking up a lot of space, and they need to liquidate and make room for even more game titles on the horizon, this game got slaughtered with bad reviews in the US, so i would'nt pay full price for the collectors set, if u live stateside,..just wait it another month or so.

Received my Ninja Gaiden 3 CE from Tesco Entertainment this morning. It was pretty well packed in a suitable box and lots of air pockets to fill the voids. Better than I expected at any rate (I was expecting a grey bin bag!), but it arrived in perfect shape

Obviously I'm also a sealed collector so I have no idea what condition my statue inside is in. I can't hear any rattling, so I hope that's a good sign

Not bad considering I only paid around £45 thanks to using my Clubcard vouchers! ;)

Well, maybe I'm spoiled by the quality of Japanese statues and figmas, but for me, even though the pose is awesome, the painting is medicore quality at best, and most parts could use some more details.
Also, I don't know if it's just my copy, but the feet of the characters don't fit in the right places on the stand.
I won't mention the fact that the Dragon Sword broke on me, since it's mostly my fault.
All in all, that figure just give me this cheap Chinese toy vibes..

the base is a piece of crap -_- it took ages to get the damn figure on properly and even now, it isn't fully inserted.... to make it even worse, the base has slight red paint stains on it... poor show

I had no problem actually pushing the feet onto the base and I too had a little paint rub off onto the base, probably from movement during transit.

Best way I found to get the paint off was a simple pencil eraser, took a few rubs and it was off. I wouldn't use anything too harsh on it otherwise it might ruin the plastic.

You should open it... simply case the figure is pretty neat and the "box inside the big box" that the figure comes in is pretty good for display

I was tempted to get another one last week for $40 at JB, it is a nice steelbook and the Troll is pretty as well.

You HAVE to play the original, get NG Sigma. The sequel was pretty good too.

In this series the games slowly went downhill so the original is the best. :v:

Also, you should open the game and enjoy the statue, it is pretty cool - each character's sword cuts through the other so they sorta lock together. Somehow I don't think it'll increase in value if you keep it sealed. :nea:
