Ninja Gaiden 3 Collector's Edition unmasked

Lots of you wrote in to tell us about the recently revealed Collector's Edition of the Upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3.

This Edition looks to come in a nice box and includes all of the content you'd expect from a higher end CE. A CD soundtrack an artbook and a pair of figurines. Fans of Dead or Alive will also be happy to see the inclusion of a voucher for a special version of the Dead or Alive 5 demo which includes 4 playable fighters (as opposed other versions of the demo which only include 2 fighters).

Scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 March 20th in North America and March 23rd in Europe. No official pricing has been announced and it doesn't seem to be available for pre-order anywhere yet but it's rumored to be priced around $100 USD.... View this article on the HomePage. The thing i'm concerning about is the release date and the set figures measurements. I just hope it doesn't comes out at the same time with Max Payne 3 Special Edition and not the size of Altair in AC 1 (US version) collector's Edition or the cheap looking Chris figure in Resident Evil 5 CE. Honestly, it does looks good really. The figures set better be 6"-7" inches tall.

Was hoping for this for a while. Too bad they won't be doing the "Sigma" thing this time around because I already own Sigma 1 and 2 for PS3 in Collector edition!

It's funny how it's been announced for the US for a few days now and yet none of the retail/online stores have it for pre-order.

Yeah, as I mentioned in the other thread, it doesn't look like it'll be an EB exclusive otherwise it'd be written all over the place.

What I meant was it's not mentioned on any local gaming news sites, but I'm not too surprised as many Aussie gaming sites/forum don't normally announce CE/LE unless it's a huge popular franchise here.

Anyway, still got until late March, I'll wait for JB to put it up at they may have it a little cheaper?!?

Amazon and other online retailers aren't taking preorders yet. I think this will be somewhat of a limited release in USA, so I'm snagging one @ Gamestop now.

I was hoping it'd be available everywhere. I quizzed GAME about it and they pretty much tried to avoid my question. Then I saw it as an exclusive on EB's site which answered my question. :-/

Oh, awesome. The price isn't that bad too, though I was expecting zavvi to sell it for £60, and the rest of the stores for £70-£75

Why did they change to £90 on zavvi I have no idea. If that's the price it's supposed to be, then well, it's a rip off, given they sell it for only $99 in the US.

Far as I know, the only "special" editions for Ninja Gaiden came when they released Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Sigma 2 for PS3. Those both received very nice small Limited CE boxes w/ extras. The regular release of Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 (before Sigma) didn't have a CE that I'm aware of (unless it was in Europe)?

Some of my most prized collectibles. I bid on both on ebay back years ago and snagged em both for around 100$ (each separately). It was a fierce bid war though for both. Now I see one on ebay sealed new (for Sigma 2) for 450$! haha no thanks...but they are very rare now...

No. Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 both released exclusive for Xbox 360 first, then a "better" improved version (in Sigma) came for PS3 w/ a CE. Also, Sigma 2 I believe had 2 CE versions (one was bigger and released in UK/Europe).

Yeah For Sigma 2 HMV UK had a unquie CE. Nothing in Europe for Sigma 1 though.

"Never improved"? - the Sigma versions were the ones that WERE improved over the standard Ninja Gaiden games 1 and 2, correction. Also, the HMV exclusive must be the one I was talking about (being a bigger version than the NA CE for Sigma 2)

Actually believe it or not, it dropped to £15 instore for ones that had it, was able to get 3 from the Bury St edmunds about 18 months ago

Yes it was Cellophane sealed with a Clear Tear Strip.

Newer CE aren't too bad, it's the older releases and especially the HMV exclusive sleeves, most of the time they are missing or completely destroyed. On top of that any of their games come unsealed.
