Trying to find some info on an AC model

Hey guys,

I am looking for some information on an Assassin's Creed model/statue/figure that seemed to be released with the original game back in 2007. It popped up on UK eBay a while ago but I didn't know anything about it(and couldn't find any info either) so I let it slip.

All I know is:

-Box art is same colors and similar design to the box art of the large 10 inch model in the UK PAL AC CE.
-The box that the model comes in is about 6 inches squared(I think).
-The model is Altair in a crouching pose.
-From the pictures I saw, the box almost looked exactly the same as the one that contains the CE 10 inch model, and said the same things on it like "Assassin's Creed Altair Collectible Figure" or something like that.

But I do know the 10 inch figure from the UK PAL CE was made by F4F specifically for that edition as it says on their website, but does not say anything anywhere about this smaller crouching figure..

I have looked all over google for any information with no luck at all. I can only assume this model was a promotional gift or a preorder bonus.

Any info would be much appreciated!!

I have the original AC big tin, and it came with an Altaire figurine, but mine is standing up with hidden blade drawn, not kneeling like the one you have shown.

I also own this figurine. It is indeed pretty rare although I have seen couple in the past few months on ebay. So from what I have heard, it is a very rare item (as rare as the AC press kits) and it is definitely a must own if you are a die hard AC fan. This being said, it has never been sold to the public. According to some AC collector site, this figurine was targeted for the Spain market (and given as pre-order bonus) like ours AC1 Collector figurine that came with the game (standing) but the in the middle of the distribution, editors decided to drop that figurine released due to the stand and eventually the "square box" it came with it. It wasn’t the right proportion and they went for the one we all know (Altair standing in the collector edition). A lot of people are wondering how many were made but some forum are advancing the number 100. I have personally no idea about that number but all I know is that it might be close to 100 or less. This figurine has been given away to AC competition winners and Ubisoft employees to thank them for their great work. Other than that and ebay this figurine is VERY rare! Last two one I saw went for 720 euros and 500 euros respectively. The price will vary depending on the condition and if the figurine comes with the original box.

The figurine is actually on sale on ebay and my bet is that it won't go over $500 because there is no original box (or at least it shouldn't...) but you never know with this figurine as it is a must own for any hardcore AC collectors!
