Aliens vs Predator has a gorgeous steel. Love the artwork and the texture. One of my favourites along with many others already mentioned. My list of favourites would be like 20 titles at least :haha:

If so, then Yes, it is a Stickerbook! Xbox360 got Stickerbooks and PS3 got a proper Steelbook with same image.

I think Yakuza shiro edition is simply stunning as is the Marvel Vs capcom 3 steelbook. But I think once Pandora Tower comes out that will be best looking.

Sorry, I read somewhere that Konami had already started printing the real steelbooks before they conjured up an Xbox360 version, therefore they had to cheapen it down to stickerbooks due to lack of time and their already twice delayed deadline releases. :(

No mistake gurpswoo,it just doesn't feel right to me. Usually you can push a steelbook with your finger and it feels both cold and hard but the batman steel feels almost soft and not cold,almost like they used a cheaper product.

I haven't personally touched an open Batman steelbook but there have been reports, well more opinions and guesses. That they used thinner metal and more plastic.

I guess it's a cost saving decision on the publisher.

as far as detailed graphical print quality on steelbook, i would have to say the new north american AC III Steelbook, whether your a fan of the design or not, it looks fantastic at every angle, and has a lot of details and for once, it looks like they did'nt cut corners.

Those 2 were also included in the CE in Europe. UK copies didn't get the steel tho. Good way to get the steel is to buy the European CE as they seem to have dropped substantially in price. :thumb:

Yeah I remember hearing that the CE was supposed to get the steelbook, but I bought it from GAME UK and didn't get one. :( Didn't realise there was another CE for the rest of Europe.

I've seen a couple of unboxings on youtube: 1 from Portugal and 1 from Danemark. Both had the steelbook. I also know for a fact that the french one got a steel, I've purchased it :)

Spain and Italy also got it, Just not UK. There were rumours that the reason it did not get a steelbook was because there was plans for a separate Steelbook Edition. Just like Lord of rings War of the North. Pure rumour but it makes sense.

The MGS steelbook itself is not sealed. Unless you're getting the whole LE with the slip cover and the game.

But even then you're getting the deal of the month. Right now I'd say Deus Ex is nowhere close to the value/rarity of the MGS :ok:

You can get mgs 4 collectors from amazon.jp for 9,500 yen plus shipping. I got mine sent to my tenso address, then fowarded to me. Its on its way. Expect to add another 2,500 yen for postage plus whatever customs duty is. To the uk around £16-17.

So all in to the uk is around £110

Luckily i purchased two as new for 140,000 from third party sellers which means i got to avoid customs as no item price written on parcel.

Mmm. I would be gutted if i paid new prices after reading this! Anyone used this company for items shipped to the uk? It advises royal mail postage. Not ems. Might still get stung the 20% taxes. + royal mails extortionate £8.00 carriage fee(which would put it near on par with amazons price). Feedback appreciated as I may use these in the future.

I got my MGS4 LE (jap) along with a MGS3 subsistence LE, a Document of MGS2, a 20th anniversary MGS1 edition and about 4 other NTSC-J MGS games from ebay for £60....I was the only bidder and was amazed how cheaply I got them.

@ferrari I've never used that company but I know you are more likely to get stung by customs using EMS (in my experience anyway) plus if you use EMS you'll get an extra charge from DHL or whoever the courier is if it is detained by customs, it's more than the £8 that RM charge as well.....Around £14 I think.

No, ems method has always come via dhl and the carriage fee has always been £1.50 for me where customs fees are applicable.
I buy many bluray steelbooks from japan amazon so am accustomed to their charges.
I would use dhl over royal mail any day of the week.

As far as this store is concerned, its always a worry when you cant link to the contact page. I might give them a go on a cheaper item to see if they mark the items packaging with the item price.

Favorite looking one of this year is the Ni No Kuni steelie, that thing is a true beauty

- Homefront (personally think this is very underrated b/c it's common, amazing art imo)
