In the UK the Collector's Edition will be sold exclusively by retailers that are yet to be announced.

Alternatively, there's a limited edition Steel Book version of Resident Evil 6, which will be available from all shops at around the same price as the standard version. Images of both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of this are below.

I think it was 20,000 on each platform. I don't know if this is the case, 30,000 for PS3 and 30,000 for Xbox, or 15,000 & 15,000.

Not saying it's impossible but saying it will be sold out for sure is a bit of a stretch.

Also, If US is getting CE, it will surely be something else, right? Because if it was same thing they would just announce it for the whole world.

I spoke to my friend this morning who's a manager at EB. The CE isn't showing on their system yet, but I put a preorder down for the standard edition and once the CE gets added, he'll change it over for me. That way there's less chance of missing out. ;)

I noticed that, somehow I don't think it was removed due to them fulfilling their stock quota, more like it was put up in error and then removed for some reason. I assume there must be some red tape that has to be sorted which is why EB don't have it on their site yet.

CE's these days don't sell out that fast, at least not in this country. O.o

I'd believe that, JBhifi did put a disclaimer that their price may change, which is like saying they had jumped the gun. Maybe the whole "out of 30,000" limit didn't even factor to JBHifi's decision to put up the pre-order. Capcom or EB must have told them this is actually limited unlike most CEs (the last CE numbered I remember is Sonic Generations) and to retract it so specific numbers of copies can be issued to avoid false orders.

CE's these days don't sell out that fast, at least not in this country. O.o

The exception would be Borderlands 2: Ultimate Loot Chest Edition in about 3 days, and the 360 and PC versions of the Skyrim CE in about a day and a half.

To all the undecided folks . . .just pre-order it now and ponder on it for the next few months. It's not like it's hard to cancel a pre-order at GAME.

Personally i think it's overpriced and the publishers are trying to ring the last drop out of the collectors market while the going's still good.

If it hasn't sold out by release date then it's a safe bet to cancel and wait on a price drop a la Max Payne 3 Special - which is down to £60 in my neighbourhood and still not selling. :spiteful:

It appears that the final CE product comes with a tall plastic slipcover, and a second box strapped to the top containing the jumper. The whole package will be top-heavy, as the jumper weighs more than the actual CE below it.

It's a hard one to predict with any certainty because the fan-base is pretty huge.

Then again the last £130 CE was Skyrim - again hugely popular - but i held out and got it for half the price. Same with the recent PC Star Wars CE . . .around £120 at release and my local stores ended up struggling to sell 'em at £50.

Just watched the video, the knob has absolutely no idea how to handle a CE! Bashing on the steelbook and getting grubby fingerprints over everything. Not sure if anyone else noticed but the outer plastic was split about a third of the way down on one of the edges. :banghead:

With a slipcover over it, that looks like it was printed and stuck together in two seconds (mine is badly aligned) going to message gamestop and request a replacement slipcover. box inside the slipcover is a plain brown shipping type box :( and slipcover is thin shiny paper, and badly glued together.

I unstuck the slipcover after that picture was taken, and restuck the slipcover properly... but now the damn thing doesn't fit over the brown box :S So they obviously made them quickly and haphazardly, not realising they wouldn't fit, and that, plus rushing, caused them to be glued badly.

The contents are REALLY nice. Like, no joke. The game is the steelbook edition (as expected) but luckily, unlike the GAME CE, has the game inside the steelbook, with the slipcover over it.

The metal sign is really nice, good quality, similar to the RE:ORC sign, but smaller of course.

The jumper is really nice, haven't fully taken it out yet as I fear it won't go back in the bag properly if I do, but it appears really nice quality.

and last but not least, the bullet USB stick is really lovely. Actually made of metal (I'm sure!) and comes in a lovely presentation box, with the Resident Evil 6 logo printed on top :)

Very pleased with the contents.

I think the CE contents are OK but the original rrp was way too optimistic lol. I think 70 pounds would have been fair. I think it was originally 130, then 99, then was 87.99 up until yesterday or day before.

So it's cheap compared to what it used to be, so in those terms it's good value now but with regards to the CE contents 60 it's still quite a lot of money. #undecided :think:
