Hi, been hanging around for a while

Hi,

My name's Alan and me and my son Harry have been collecting since around Christmas. Thought it was time to introduce ourselves as we've been looking around the site for a while.

We're trying to build up a small collection with very little money

We started with CE's but recently we've been trying to focus a bit on steelbooks as we really like them.

Nothing like what most of you have but we'll try and add photos below.

Just ordered some poly cases yesterday :)

Never had many steelbooks to start with so just had them on display in a bookcase.

We have the slipcases for them in the loft always prefered to have them off just to show the art work.

Yes the Ikea cabinets are a great price and just right for a small room :)

I nearly bought the King Kong steelcase for £1 with game the other week but it wasn't an official steelbook so I passed on it. Was I wrong to not buy it? I couldn't find it when I looked again.

@ Likey Hi, we don't normaly buy PS2 steelbooks but we just liked the look of the King Kong one.
We picked it up for about £1.50 so it's not worth much but it is a nice case.
There's a couple on Ebay just now, will probably go cheap.

Game France exclusive so pretty happy with that.

Still waiting on it being delivered but as soon as we have a couple more I'll update the photos.:D

Yes it did come with a slipcase but we tend to take them off and put them in the loft.

We're waiting on poly cases coming, just think you can see the artwork better with the slipcover off as sometimes they cover too much up.

To be honest Gazereths I've not got a clue I followed a link on here and ordered them off Ebay :blush: I know they fit G1 & G2 with a bit of an overhang so I'll see when they get here.

Hi Lemur, thanks, we're going to tidy the steelbooks up and put them in protective covers , shame not to see the full effect but now getting too many to leave on the shelves, Never thought we'd say that :D

Really must post on other peoples threads as there's so much great stuff on here, I will get round to it as soon as I can.

Have managed to pick up the White Edition still sealed so at last we've managed to make a start on that :banana:

Can't really say much more as my son knows about that one but not the rest.

Mostly quite common steelbooks but one other CE in there.

They sometimes go quite cheap on Ebay over here.

Sure I seen one in CEX for about ?10 the last time I was in.

Will look out for one if you're interested ?

Edit : can get it cheaper on Ebay but you never know how good a condition it will arrive in though ours was perfect !

Yeah the mag steel is qutie good looking and it sells for pretty cheap so it's a no brainer for any dedicated G2 steel collector
