That's like the 5th type of AC3 Edition announced so far right? And there are some rumours that there could be 1 more announced on July 4th?

I got my eyes on 4 of them so far. I still got a question about the packaging. The ads on the UK versions say there is a collector's box. Are they made of quality material like hard plastic, wood or just cardboard with special designs? What about the NA version? So many questions on the different editions..

Fair enough but if there is a good quality collectors box with this edition, I might get it as well.

Actually, I have always debated if buying the edition and selling what you don't want is better or buying what you want off ebay is better. Always had this debate in the back off my mind

would like the flag, as someone pointed out to me there is no way to tell if the belt buckle is flimsy but it is hardly exciting compared to the medallion and i really think they messed up not including the notebook.

the only thing uk got shortchanged on was the steel being part of an edition whereas us got it as a pre-order bonus, but many on this site already got one when it went as a us pre-order bonus

I really like the flag and think it's actually the best item included among all the editions.

I wish the belt buckle was Ubiworkshop's version though.
The one in the picture is just plain boring.

They should really include better pictures of the boxes the editions come in. I will be getting this, and probably the Join or Die edition for the notebook and medallion. But if the box is cheap, I might just eBay the items.

That sucks for people who already pre-ordered to get a steelbook. Though Ubisoft did say that they could "upgrade" their current pre-orders, so shouldn't sacrifice their pre-order bonus. I would shoot amazon CS an email about this if I were out in this situation... :S

If you look at the flag thats layed flat in the post its slightly off colour,
faded & oldish looking as well as looking like its actually made like a flag
should be made. The one in the collectors edition looks like thinner
material is used to make it & its brighter in color,not as dull or aged looking.
My guess is the flag thats laying flat is a press item so its made a little
fancier than normal as with all things press related:)

The picture of that flag is from a flag "kit" that was sent to a magazine director/writer/whatever as a gift from Ubisoft. It is a high quality "thick thread" type of flag. Rolled up/folded up I bet it would occupy a heft amount of space. . . It was shown to come to that guy in a decent sized wooden case. So to save on space I am sure that the north American limited edition will come with a flag but it will be a much thinner crappier quality one, which Ubisoft has already confirmed. Yeah, I couldn't agree more. I was refreshing search results all day long hoping to see an updated article to find that Ubisoft had finally released another CE that was "staggerly amazing" (or whatever Ubisoft had said it would be) but alas. . . it is past 5:00 eastern time here in the States. I believe you said it the best Cosmic, Ubisoft did US over again. hehe The States win some we loose some but it seems to be a reoccurring trend with the Assassin's Creed CE's atleast. Ah well. I don't even want the US A.C. CE at all.

I'll give a mixed answer. The freedom edition is a better value by far over the US Limited Edition. However, from what I have read thus far the US Limited Edition will be even more limited in numbers produced than the UK Freedom edition. I'd still say go for the Freedom edition though.

better value because it has washington's journal, it have an exclusive lithograph and a more exclusive looking packaging. for american limited, I could care less about the flag or even if they add a replica of the declaration of independence... it is a very dissappointing edition.

Actually, box aside, this edition looks a hell of a lot better than the Freedom edition. The medallion is the only other interesting thing, but that isn't even included in the Freedom edition.

The UK editions are the same old stuff. Medallions (Oblivion CE), and a journal (every other CE), and the statue. The statue of course is badass, but it's in the NA version too, so that doesn't say anything.

The belt buckle looks pretty damn well made, it's pretty unique, and it's gorgeous. It also follows the history of apparel related AC CE items. I'm sure everyone here would die to get their hands on the hoodie from one of the Korean editions.

Sorry by the sounds of it they are unpainted acording to jb staff but i might be able to get a some a few weeks after the game release

Lol I used to get loads of pre-order freebies like that, but now most the stores, where I got on with the staff, have closed and they're much stricter now. They have to scan everything out and it gets itemised on your receipt... :(

Anyway, if you could get any extras of these, I too would be interested and it would be appreciated if you could send some my way. :D

ok Ive added you all to a list on my phone, i cant promise anything but il ask when the game comes out, it just depends on how many people actually preorder the game, each store receives a box of the preorder bonuses and if nobody preorders the game they just hand them around xmas out if nobody asks beforehand..

just hope its like the dreamcast collection and nobody preorders the game lol

I was just talking from a more original perspective. You see a book with 90% of CEs, whereas only once or twice ever with a belt buckle. I like getting unique items that you don't see elsewhere when I buy a CE.

To each their own, of course.

The only problem of this edition is the price 119.99$ because the content is very good, it's like a junction between join or die and the freedom edition. But i would trade the belt for the medallion.

I didn't buy it, but they were just bundling stuff. I got confirmation from Ubisoft that it wasn't the same as the UWS edition, and confirmation from amazon that they'd just be shipped together in a shipping box, how true that is, I don't know - we need solid proof from somebody who bought it, but tbh I don't see why Amazon would lie xx

Tbh, even if you return, the next one and any one after that will probably end up the same. Heck, my Dishonored CE (which came from within the UK!) has a little tray inside for the cards, and it's like that :shrug: I'd just accept it if I were you, it could have been worse :) :hug: xx

I sent some Join or Dies to friends internationally and I found myself unpacking them, wrapping them in bubble wrap, protecting the corners with cardboard and reboxing them to ship and thinking 'how come they get their stuff delivered better packed than my came in the first place??'

Fair play to Amazon though they replied twice to my return once automated and once a person in less then 30 minutes and upgraded the replacement to there fastest shipping method so I should get it by the time they originally said I would anyway

there's been some instances where my game box was damaged when purchasing through amazon GERMANY..they told me to keep it..and they would either refund my money or send me a free replacement...because they thought it was too much of a hassle to reimburse me for international shipping or it was cheaper for them to send me another one for free as opposed to doing an exchange and refunding my return shipping costs.
