G’day from Melbourne, Australia!

Firstly I like to say, what a wonderful website this is, I actually stumbled upon it while I was looking for stuff related to video games etc... and behold me I found this website which I must say is actually pretty good with information in regards to what’s coming up with bonus items etc..

So I just thought I’ve been lurking around but haven’t posted anything, so today I thought, why not and say G’day. Will probably will post a few pics of my collection that I have at the moment, it’s nothing spectacular with press kits etc… but I guess I call myself a hobbyist more than a collector as I like playing the games I received rather than keep them sealed. At the moment I’m packing up everything and trying to log what I have as kids and games don’t mix from time to time, especially when they like to chew the box…

A little bit about myself, I’m an old school gamer, playing video games since the 1970’s. First game I played was probably Popeye or Parachute on the old Game and Watch, can’t remember it’s been awhile. Seen lots of changes and missed a few things along the way as life got in the way. I actually took a break from gaming due to my career, travelling a lot and really didn’t have the time to play or buy anything. Now being more settled I’ve rediscovered my gaming passion again and just slowly building up a collection of sorts. Not really fussed about being one system or one brand, if I see something I like and it’s at the right price I’ll buy it regardless of what other people think.

I’m pretty keen on my Japanese shmups as I always get excited for some bullet hell for some reason :D Speaking of Japanese, I do like their style of box arts and collections that they get, they do tend to have some pretty cool things that outside of Japan doesn’t have.

Anyways, I hope to be a part of this great looking site and put in a few quotes from time to time, keep up the good work guys/gals.

evilvort3x - Cheers fella, I do think the Wii is a pretty good system to play on but it comes down to what games you want to use it for as I do think it's underappreciated.

It's funny but after the steelbook in that far cry CE, I actually like the outer box the best :)

I'm kind of suprised you have so many Japanese xbox games, I thought the Japanese hated the xbox???

Xbox was preference for shmups this generation so that why I have so many shmups for my Jap X360, but there are a few on the PS3 as well, which I'm not interested. X360 isn't selling as much as other consoles in Japan it would seem as they sell more handhelds than consoles I think...

Love my Jap shmups, always have always will. Got a few more coming my way for the Xbox. I might add I've got some DC shmups as well, they seem so much more colourful onthe DC than any other system imo.

The records where a pro-order bonus here in OZ when you got the Dreamcast collection for the Xbox 360.

Yeah Xbox 360 seems to be the choice for shmups, but there are a only two you can get on the PS3 though, Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! Meikai Katsugeki Wide-Han and Under Defeat HD.

Yeah the outsider giclee looks really sweet, will be looking for a frame to hang up and the destiny prints looks amazing imo, glad I've got both so far.

Cheers fella, yeah the Campfire print is really amazing imo, looks fantastic, will be getting a nice frame for it at some stage when I have time.

Yeah it looks fantastic in person, but I really like the moon base one as it just simply looks amazing imo.

I think there were only 20 of each from memory, one was numbered but the others aren't. No biggy as having one of 20 is pretty good imo and they just look really nice in person and I'[m glad I have them, well the ones that weren't framed :beer:

Cheers, wasn't too sure about the Mass Effect print, but once I had it in my hands it does look pretty sweet up close.

Just don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, leave it in it's tube or frame it, decisions decisions... :beer:
