Here are a few quick Snapshots of my game and DVD shelves...

http://collectorsedition.org/forums/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=2

I actually have more older generation games but they're in storage since there isn't much room to display them.

http://collectorsedition.org/forums/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=3

I used to work in an arcade repairing machines so I got the Double Dragon machine as well as a Ring King machine (in a different room) when they were planning to throw them out. I converted Double Dragon to UMK3 since UMK3 is one of my favorite fighting games.

Is that the Halo III faceplate by any chance? It seems that every collector I know has that one, and just that one. It really is the best one to have, & the most impressive.

I still need to get DDR Universe - Konami just keep releasing DDR games and it's hard to keep track of them all. There's a second one as well now I believe, plus there's the Wii releases. And they never drop in price either, so collecting DDR box sets can be quite costly. Same for Guitar Hero / Rock Band games as well, there's just too many of them now and they're not the easiest of things to find storage for either - I wish they'd just quit whilst they're still ahead rather than run the series into the ground

twistedsymphony

actually that's the PGR3 faceplate...
here's a better pictures:
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/pgr3_faceplate.jpg

and they just released DDR Universe 3... I don't know about your area but they also have DDR High School Musical (HSM is a really dumb Disney movie targeted towards young teens)

Gemini-Phoenix
02-04-2009, 09:19 AM
Oh right. It looked like the Halo III one from a distance

As far as I know, DDR isn't as popular here in the UK as it is in Japan and the US. I've not heard of a High School Musical DDR though - The only HSM games I can think of are the Sing It! games (Similar to Singstar)

I'm loving the shelf setup, Twisted! It makes everything so much more organized.

That is a really amazing collection - totally puts mine to shame haha. Seems very organized too. I wish I had proper shelves to put my games and DVDs in.

That is an awesome collection. Could you do a few close-up shots too? :)

90% of the photos in the game-db are of these games... ;)

I think I have some slightly better photos somewhere but they're a little old and missing a number of games.

is there something in particular you wanted a picture of?

Hahaha. Figures. :)
Was interested in seeing the lower shelves with the old Xbox games. :)

I don't think I have any good pictures of those, I'll snap some tonight if I have time... but I'll be mostly busy taking pics of SFIV

What's that game on the right of your Mass effect CE. It's in a box to the right of ME

Skoolstah

Badass! What came with the Robotech: Battlecry LE?

twistedsymphony
02-19-2009, 03:05 PM
To the Right of Mass Effect is a 2nd Mass effect case that I got from Gamestop as a pre-order bonus, it includes behind the sceens videos, gamerpics and other stuff similar to the LE's bonus disc... there is some overlap but it's mostly unique content. there are pictures of this case on the Mass Effect NTSC page.

to the right of that is a plain black case with the game disc.. you'll notice a lot of my games have one of these, I do this so I don't ruin the CE case by constantly opening and closing it...

-----------

I don't know what came with Robotech, it's still sealed :P
that game is numbered... one of the very few CEs to come with a quantity label (the only other one I can think of is Halo Legendary which has the number on the back of the helmet stand)

Badass! What came with the Robotech: Battlecry LE?

That is one of the most impressive CE's out there, and a prime example of how you American's get better LE's and CE's than us Brits. Look at all the games you get which come with flight sticks as well! Not to mention all those nice RPG LE's that you also get, such as Growlanser Generations etc!

it's been AGES since I've taken a pic of my collection... here are some I snapped a couple of weeks ago:

My "Big Box" CE Shelf:
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shelf_1.jpg
you can see I need more space as it's spilling over onto my DVD/BluRay shelf to the right.

My 360 games (a lot of smaller box CEs mixed in)
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shelf_360.jpg

My PS3 games:
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shelf_ps3.jpg
I've picked up GT5 CE since this pic but I'm not much of a PS3 collector...

I also collect Anime box sets:
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shelf_anime.jpg

My entire game/movie collection:
http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shelf_2.jpg

I'm planning on adding another "big box" shelf in the near future... I'm pretty much at maximum capacity now

I know what you mean, the big box items really do take up alot of space. I had to remove all my bigger boxes to the wardrobe.

twistedsymphony
12-02-2010, 05:36 PM
I don't even have some of the bigger boxes on display... Steel Battalion, Rock Band 2, and DJ Hero are all hiding in another room...

The Steel Battalion box is enormous.

So someone was bugging me to get some more recent pics of my collection up... I snapped a few last night....

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_01.jpg
The new Corner Shelf setup, The three shelves to the right are part of Ikea's "Billy" series, I'm really happy with these shelves particularly because of the adjustable height to accommodate some of the more annoyingly sized CEs.

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_04.jpg
That is a version 2 Steel-Batallion controller... the box is in another room because it's so huge it wont fit anywhere. I do actually play it from time to time, it's really fun. Guitar Hero II box behind it, nothing special...

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_02.jpg
Row 1: Mortal Kombat Kollector's Edition, Tekken 6 Limited Edition and Tekken 5 limited edition
Row 2: Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition (I actually have a 2nd copy in another room), Kilzone 3 Helghast Edition (sadly not the limited version with the light up eyes)

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_03.jpg
Row1: Halo Read Legendary, Halo 3 ODST Special Package, Halo 3 Legendary
Row2: some gaming magazines, some old strategy guides, and some fabric boxes to hold extra controllers and other perifs. This larger bookshelf is the Ikea "Lack" series... it's nice for the bigger boxes but it has no back and you can't adjust the shelf height so it's not the best.

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_05.jpg
hiding Up top: God of War III ultimate edition, not sure why it's all the way up there
Row 1 Left: Duke Nukem Balls of Steel Edition, Alien vs Predator Hunter Edition
Row 1 Right: One of my "holy grails" the Austrailian Bayonetta Climax Edition with the pre-order bonus scarborough fair gun

Row 2 Left: This row is "dedicated" to Fallout, I have the Fallout 3 CE and the Fallout NV CE
Row 2 Right: To complete the Fallout shelf, and another of my "holy grails" is the Fallout 3 Survival Edition

Row 3 Left: GTAIV Special edition, behind it is a special pre-order package for Turning Point fall of liberty
Row 3 Right: The 3rd of my "holy grails" the coveted Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_06.jpg
Row 1 Left: Two Worlds II Royal Edition, Fable III LCE
Row 1 Right: this is dedicated to Dead Rising, there is the DR1 SteelBook from the UK, the DR2 Zombrez Edition, and the DR2 High roller Edition

Row 2 Left: NBA 2K10 CE
Row 2 right Little Big Planet 2 CE. I have 2 more CEs that I'm looking at to add to my "holy grail" list that will go behind the glass but I'd rather not mention them and jinx my ability to get them.

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_07.jpg
Row 1: Bioshock 2 SE, Bioshock 1 CE, a PGR3 faceplate, and the Invader Zim box set (not a game but I have no other good place to put it

Row 2: This is kind of my obscure Japanese titles shelf  Agarast Generations of War Really Naughty Edition, Agarast Generations of War Zero, Death Smile LE, Hyper Dimension Neptunia, AR Tonelico Qoga, and Atelier Rorona

Row 3: The Assassin's Creed Shelf: NTSC CEs for AC1, AC2, and ACB (harlequin version)

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_08.jpg
Row 1: Front Catherine Deluxe Edition Xbox 360 and PS3 version (different covers so I had to buy them both) In the back is DDRU bundle with the dance pad and infamous 2 hero edition (as I can tell I don't really care to much for either of those )

Row 2: Batman Arkham Asylum (I don't really care about this either but I have no good place to put it really.

Row 3: the Call of Duty Shelf, COD BO Prestige and COD MW2 Prestige

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_09.jpg
These are just cheap DVD shelves from Target the center shelf are all my Xbox 360 games, the right shelf is DVD comedy movies and TV shows on DVD, the left shelf are my non-xbox 360 games

more shelves from target, the left shelf is all Anime, the right shelf are blu-ray and DVD movies

My small but growing Blu-Ray Collection

http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ikea_billy_16.jpg
This is across from the anime shelf, I used to have a bar over this area of the room but I never used it, even when I had friends over for drinks so I moved the arcade machine here along with the glass display cases where I put some of the figurines from the various CEs and my wife has displayed some of her Final Fantasy figurines.

So that's the updated tour of my collection

No, none of my other "holy grails" is in that list...

One of them I did manage to pickup last week... (I'll post about it soon, and it's even more rare than the Dead Space ULE)

The other one is a NTSC-J Dreamcast release... you could probably figure it out from some of my other posts lately.

My Dead Space ULE is not sealed... but it's as close as you could get to it, the previous owner was smart and simply cut a clean slit down the side of the seal and then pulled it off, so it's still covered in the original shrink wrap and I can remove the box from the wrap when I like... I also have the original box it was shipped in along with the packing slip... it's arguably the nicest UNSEALED copy of the game around :)

I don't have any press kits... from what I've seen the US rarely gets press kits it's more of a European thing. I might consider collecting some if I came across any for my all time favorite franchises, but AFAIK most of them only ever got boring promo Discs, without any special packing.

I don't collect any movie merch either... I DO have a small collection of movie posters though... not reproductions but rather the large format double-sided posters originally sent to movie. I've been looking to source a couple of reasonably priced proper movie frame to display them for years, but I've yet to find one. (these frames typically cost $600+)

Well, I too have an unsealed copy of DS ULE, but unfortunately mine was inadvertently damaged inside the box while still remaining shrink wrapped. For months after I bought it on eBay I vowed to NEVER open it...then I decided since I was keeping this thing forever (I would never dare sell it) I opened it (mainly because I wanted to see if this thing was legit - lol). That's when I discovered several parts of the box inside were dented and crushed pretty bad. I meticulously repaired it though and am quite proud of it's condition now. Everything inside is obviously mint and sealed though which is good.
