Assassin's Creed III Colonial Flag from Ubiworkshop [Archive]

Soon to be released, apparently in limited quantities. Exclusive to the Ubiworkshop. This is not the same flag as the one from the press kit or the CE version of the game. This is a totally diffrent, new product. Based on the pic that they released today, it looks like this flag might be smaller than the flag from the press kit. The colors and materials are probably different too.

Not everything is limited on their site. They, in fact, explicitly list whether a product is a limited edition, countdown edition, or open edition. Limited edition products are usually limited to a single run (sometimes run twice) and are never reissued (see the ACIII Developers hoodie, Revelations print, Abstergo I hoodie.) Countdown edition products are available for sale for only a limited time. Once the sale period ends for Countdown edition products, they stop taking orders and the product never comes back. Open edition products are not limited at all generally. They're free to re-run Open editions as many times as they want.

I missed out on the ACIII developers edition hoodie. I'm really bummed about that one. I'll probably never get one since it's never coming back. :(

it means they only do one production batch unless they have enough demand to sell 3/4's of a second batch
they tend to get small high quality batches of less then 1000
except for the last batch of Desmond hoodies which where rushed as too many people wanted them so the used a different manufacturer and quality suffered

I just measured the press kit flag. it's about 53"x32" or 54"x33". The material seems to allow for some bit expansion and contraction, that's why I listed those two sizes. It may even be slightly bigger.

so this new UbiWorkshop flag is marginly larger then the press kit
you watch them stick it in a wooden box too but with abstergo symbols on it instead of Assassin's symbols
they should really just open a abstergo outlet as the amount of abstergo products they are selling is increasing
like the UbiWorkshop Dion of ac3 is abstergo branded

So strange.. thinkgeek is selling the tomahawk yet I was informed it was exclusive to a company called Jinx.

I too wonder how the packaging is. I sure hope it's some type of box.

They're not the same. They appear to be different color, and the Ubiworkshop flag has 3 eyelets as opposed to the two eyelets on the think geek flag.

Hmmmm...they're more obviously differing from each other now with the descriptions on their pages. Ubisoft is slightly smaller as well. It's pretty hard to compare the colors of the stripes when they're not both taken in one picture or under the same exact condition/lighting.

For international buyers, ThinkGeeks offers it at a better price and shipping fee for those opting to use it as a 'prop' or want the largest flag available. They're both convincing replicas to me either way :)

Maybe If I actually make an account, i'll have the same shipping fees. Without an account, I add it to cart, and then when I select Greece it only has DHL and UPS as available options. :suicide:

True DAT printed stars not embroidered
But they don't state embroidered in the description looks like I'm picking up UbiWorkshop and thinkgeek flags
The UbiWorkshop one is going to be flown on a pole and there thinkgeek on in the box
Edit the whole thing is printed
The stripes are printed not sewn together like the press flag
Not sure about the GameStop rewards flag

It feels and looks like a real, worn American flag. Except this has faux streaks of bloods, tears, and stains. It's very thick cotton.

I just took detailed photos, uploading now. Everything is printed on the flag, the stars and stripes are not individually sewn on.
