Hi,
I'm Makis from Athens Greece.

Many years ago, I open in Athens one of the first shop with Games, Collectibles, figures, movies memorabilia, trading cards, miniatures, tabletops games and other stuff.

I grow up with D&D, Hero Quest, Moneky Island, Ultima, Wizardy, Eye of the beholder, Elder Scroll? and all the old good adventures and RPG?s for Amiga and later for PC.

Because of the crisis in Greece I closed my shop after 22 years but still i continue to sell some stuff in Ebay.
I post here a photo from my shop and my RPG games collection.

If you have trouble posting pictures, here's a short how-to:

1) Upload your pictures onto a picture hosting site such as photobucket (http://photobucket.com/), imageshack (http://imageshack.us/) or something else

2) Get either the web address for that uploaded photo and copy it, then click insert image and paste that web address into the insert image OR copy the image code directly from the picture hosting website (starts with , ends with and then paste that in. Ignore the _ next to img, had to do it so it wouldn't try to post an image)

On another note, i have seen some of your ebay auctions and spotted the extra pictures that you have on your listings that show your collection/store and it is indeed quite impressive.

I myself grew up on Baldur's Gate and love the D&D stuff as well :)

It's always sad to hear about someone's passion being taken away from them due to economic hardship but that's just life, I suppose

Ugh... so jealous :)

You have the big box version of fallout, one of my favourite games of all times

I assume somewhere in there you have the big box releases of baldur's gate I II and shadows of amn?

Edit: Just spotted them on the top shelf, even more jealous....

Awesome collection, anyone who can't appreciate the old PC CE's need to learn their history, in my mind they were the first real collector's edition's with their big arty boxes, cloth maps and manuals that read more like encyclopedias.

My brother is still kicking himself for losing the manual from the original big box release of baldur's gate II, that thing was like the holy grail of info all in one place :D

Totally agree with you for the old collectors editions with the cloth maps and the other great stuff inside, special the Ultima 7,8 & 9 games or the Might & Magic 3-6.
As for the Fallout 1 is one of my favourite games of all time also for 3 reasons:
1. It was a great game
2. this game was released a time that the rpg games market was dying with almost no new rpg games releases and then comes fallout with huge sales and the rpg market was high again with a lot new prg games after this.
3. I do the translation of the manual in Greek and i get a lot of gratz of my work
