Mirrors edge steelbook ( extremely expensive on ebay around 400-500 pounds)
Assassins Creed 2 ( likewise)
Mortal Kombat us version ( can;t even find it!!)

I can understand why people would want to collect this. At the same time I can understand why a lot of steel collectors wouldn't be interested.

I honestly don't know how I feel about it.

It's definitley cool but its not a true steelbook IMO unless it has a space for disk.

I know vita and ds "steels" don't have disc slots so you can assume what I think of those as well :P

Almost every retail steelbook release had runs in the thousands in circulation. For this particular steelbook only 100 were released into circulation and were given as prizes.

No I definitely understand.

I do appreciate steelbook as a brand and if I could get this without selling most of my good organs in the process, I'm sure I would.

I just highly doubt the above scenario will ever happen

I imagine that while this is the rarest steelbook you have, it's not your favorite?

the way i see it..it is an OFFICIAL steelbook product...it technically speaking is NOT FOR SALE and they claim there are 100 given out worldwide..so it is one that won't be easy to find or get a hold of..plus it seems like steelbook is leaning towards jumbos and plastic..too bad this is a jumbo..had it been a standard steel in G2..people would have gone bonkers :D

i just got this also today...i have to say the pics on here are not doing it justice..this is a really nice quality piece..the colors are vivid and "pop"..it has a sheen/shine like quality finish...the spine is finished in chrome..yes,.it's somewhat a "jumbo"..but there's nothing really cheap looking about it...i am very happy to have it..and if i saw it in real life..and i did not have it..i would not hesitate to pay upwards of US $100 on ebay whatever to have it...i really like it that much...you have to see the quality in real life with the designs and colors or some real high quality up close digital pics or something..i will always cherish it :)..and never get rid of it..it really is a gem.

i'm sorry i did'nt share the opportunity earlier..i did not know they changed the rules and prizes given during the competition..first they said that they will have a drawing and give away a total of 10 of these t-shirt cases for the first 100 that register for the steelbook.com website....i was i think around "85" for liking there facebook page..and then next time i saw the steelbook.com feed on my facebook..they changed and said now they will give 100 of these away to the first 100...and then it appeared today at my door..i did'nt know for sure that i got one..because i was never informed..just box showed up..so sorry..i thought i had only 10% chance to win one,..as thats what they said when i initially registered for the contest...so i figured it was just another everyday contest and what are the chances since it's worldwide?..so i did'nt bother to share, then again..i had no idea that people were not aware..i assumed most people on here who are fans of steelbook collecting would have liked there facebook page or at least checked there website for upcoming products.

like i said,..these pics posted on here..are not doing it any justice..in person..that promo steelbook looks amazing...it has a premium paint finish that is glossy and shiney and the spine is finished in a chrome color...and when you close it..it looks very close to a standard steelbook...it's a nice piece..i will never get rid of mine..it has to be either seen in person to appreciate or it needs upclose hi quality pics.

worth will be determined if people put theres up for sale on ebay etc..it should give you an idea what they go for....what it has going for it is..not available for sale to the general public,...promo item for a contest..and publicly they have said 100 of these were distributed worldwide...those are all pluses in my book..plus if you have it..or have seen it in real life..it's a real nice premium paint finish.
