We collect art in the form of lithographs, giclees, metallic prints and so on.
Most of these are pretty great, but every now and then it seems like there are missed opportunitues. There's plenty of great concept art out there, yet only some makes it as actual prints we can buy.
There's plenty of reasons for this; some logic, others not so much.
I personally follow:
-
CGHub
-
Concept Art World
-
Dead End Thrills
-
Kotaku - Fine art
If you know of great concept art for games that was
never actually made available as prints post it, the same goes if you know of great artists on CGHub or other sites like that who do concept art for video games.
Or if there's some more current concept art that you'd like to see as a print.
It doesn't have to be concept art, it's just that most lithographs etc. are made from concept art.
Here's a few examples. I don't think these exist as prints, correct me if I'm wrong. For full resolution you have to click the image and download.

Gilles Beloeil - La clairiere

Craig Mullins
Beats the hell out of that "Collectors" lithograph.

Mikko Kinnunen - ME3- Crucible

Craig Mullins

Matt Rhodes - Illusive Office

Mikko Kinnunen - ME3 - Teaser matte concept

Mikko Kinnunen - Reapers
I much prefer this over the "Reaper Attack" lithograph.

Gilles Beloeil - San Marco

They aren't all perfect, but I like them.
Turns out you can buy some of those AC-prints, they cost a fortune (around 1650 euro).
