You can open a paypal claim at the 44 day mark which extends it for another 20 days but doing so usually adds a red flag to your paypal account in a lot of these big companies online stores
Some stores will block your paypal account if you open a claim escalate it and then get your money back even if they were at fault
Therefore credit card is far preferred for pre-ordering

If your pay by PayPay my card is linked to it so is there some cover then after 45 days.
