I am of a similar mind
If DRM exists on both new systems (X1 and PS4) then we are not buying games so much as renting them for as long as the activation servers remain active
As you said, once those servers go so do the games unless they remove the authentication procedure but I cannot imagine MS being that benevolent
I think we are coming to the tailend of the golden age of collecting but that's just my thoughts of course
