The Ellie comparison to Ellen Page has been made multiple times. It used to be "worse", they did a re-design.

this would have been a great design based on the face. The final face designs that were chosen for Joel and Ellie were just too generic for this game. This game could have been great but the designers chose the generic route as usual. ill pass.

I wish cghub have "like" button option but...haha thanks.. sad but yeah I always try to understand the reality.. and I believe our production team surely did all their best and will be best for all.
