Well the thing about Game and GameStop (both own by the same company) is that they don't take collector or limited edition into consideration when they buy your game.
To them, all pre-owned games are standard edition. Unless you trade in a "Game of the Year edition" or a special edition like Skyrim legendary edition.
A standard edition with a piece of paper with the DLC code or a game with a steelbook will just count as a standard game.
I have plenty of customers trade in steelbook games before. I just bought a Tomb Raider steelbook game from my store cause some dude traded it in.
So sometimes working at GameStop has it perks when you find special stuff.
