Played FF XIV when it came out for pc and it was awful, more like a beta and not even worth the money for the game itself.
I'll be happy to pay a fee for ESO if it means stable servers, a smoothly gameplay and especially a full game, not some FTP crap where you have to spend 5 bucks every time you want to talk to a npc in order to move on with the game. But this is just my opinion.

lol I actually consider the subscription model to result in a better game almost always. My point was simply that the industry as a whole is clearly moving away from the subscription model and with how ESO is likely to perform financially [considering its
astronomically high cost] we're unlikely to see any further large scale MMO's by big publishers like with EA's SWTOR and Bethesda's ESO. ESO has been in development for years, before WOW started its decline
