Ok, I will admit that there are a couple of items that are undwhelming. The lock pick set for example and the Inquisitor's badge. Would have been nice if they were made out of metal. Also I feel there was a bit of a design flaw with the top lid. There should have been something like a clear Perspex cover to stop the items from falling out of the top. I wasn't overly impressed with the quill either. Should have been the same as in the concept image. >.< One more thing, what the fuck was the deal with the game case hooder being moulded into the top of the outer sleeve!? There was plenty of fucking room where the journal goes for the game case. That was annoying too.
Anyway, all in all, I like this CE.  It could just be a bias opinion because I had my CE bought for me and it arrived undamaged. Nethertheless, I think I would have still been happy with it had I purchased it myself. It's by no means a bad CE and I am sure we have all spent a lot on other CEs that have either come with less items or are of lesser quality?  |
I'm not trying to pick a fight with you but you kinda set yourself up for it by stating that you laugh at others banging the quality of this. When it comes down to it, removing the game from this aspect, you are paying $100 dollars for the box and what it contains. Now, I agree that there are a lot of things they have included. No one has knocked on the statues except the fact they were packaged poorly and some have talked about damage. You, yourself, started criticizing the quality of the contents.
For comparison sake, look at other notable collections that are separate from the game, Treehouse Brand Stores, and you will see a vast difference in quality of items for nearly the exact same price i.e. Paddock, Panzerhund, and Dev Team editions. Just my two cents...
Edit: I am most unimpressed with the "Orlesian" coins.
