Well, I can't tell you what I exactly do, of course, but I'm not a video game journalist. I'm too old for that these days :-)
Serious journalists who want to keep their jobs don't sell the freebies they get on the internet (at least not the paid professional ones).
Furthermore, journalists usually get only one item of each. If they get more its usually for reader prizes. But yeah, I do have good connections in the gaming industry - Just like everyone who gets this kind of stuff.
