The taxes/duties/import fees are beyond silly. But it's also the currency conversion right now. Our dollar is the lowest it's been in a long time. Normally we're about a nickel->dime or so off from the USD, but we're sitting at nearly a quarter off at the moment and it's making buying anything from just across the border totally unmanageable.

Amazon is collecting tax in about half the states now. Luckily mine is not one, BUT they collect for where it is shipped and not where it is paid for (this does not make sense to me as where the money comes from should be the place taxed or not).

For reference, when I was getting this during the E3 promo, my total for it was $130CAD, so grabbing that one from Amazon.com has literally doubled my intended investment. Hoping for a miraculous spike in the Canadian dollar right around release day to make this dream come true.
