Default Re: Connor premium statue

This is a belated response, however I corresponded with the Purearts folks a year ago and also got some advice from the members here who had sourced the Connor Premium statue directly from the PureArts people (both Lorraine and Jean-Philippe GARAND). They are legit and I would have purchased directly from them however they would not sell or ship to me as a resident of the USA. Apparently their licensing with Ubisoft prohibits it. The price they quoted me is same as you. Anyway, I explored having a relative in DE buy it from them for me and receive it there before forwarding to me in USA however the logistics , additional shipping costs and potential customs taxes made it not worthwhile.

Fast forward to this year and I had a decent tax refund so decided to look into it again. The situation hadn't changed with the PureArts folks however I found a few listed on eBay a few weeks back and negotiated direct with one of the sellers. I paid more than the Purearts direct price however probably around the same price as if I had paid the extra shipping/taxes to have my German relatives send it to me.

I received it this week and I am happy with it even though box & white inner box slightly damaged (I assume in shipping). Package damage aside, the statue is complete and in very good condition other than silver AC3 placard was loose from black foundation and scratched very slightly but glued back into place looks fine. Sender said it would be new/unopened however it is clear that styro packing was already cut open and inner plastic wrap was disturbed an not as nicely folded/taped as in various unboxing videos on YouTube (perhaps customs).

Appears I received #7 of 250 as label on shipping box but I noticed there is no numbering on statue itself. I believe this is normal for these statues as I recall discussion about that here before but would appreciate confirmation of this. It does appear very genuine with official box/packing and Purearts labeling on bottom as well as small silver Purearts tag on back of statue base. However my statue seems slightly different than others shown in forum and on YouTube unboxing videos because the black foundation and statue on mine arrive cemented together as one piece. The black foundation on my statue appears different and is flat without a recessed section for the statue base to fit into as pictured by others with statue on forums. It looks as if my Connor statue is somehow cemented directly onto the flat black foundation base. Also on mine there is slight gap between Connors left hand/glove and the redcoat's chin. Actually the redcoat's head on my statue is slightly loose and can be adjusted in/out slightly. I wonder if these things are this way on my statue because it is such low number and perhaps among first few produced were made slightly different. Everything else seems identical to photos on forums.
