... or perhaps I should have first read my email (I sent same questions about my statue to pure arts and received this answer)...
"Hello JC,
We are happy to hear from you and congratulation on the arrival of your statue!
Indeed, this item does not have a number on the statue itself. The reason is that it was originally designed to be gifts for high officers of Ubisoft. A year later, when we decided to sell the remaining pieces, we decided to preserve the packaging (therefore NOT add anything inside the box) so that our fans could receive the genuine untouched item.
You just received one of the very first statues to be made and these are the most valuables for collectors!
It is absolutely normal that your statue is slightly different than some others you could see on videos posted by other fans. The reason reside into the production process itself. Each and every single piece is unique (slightly different) because they have been made separately and NOT the product of a regularly-lined manufacture process which would have made them all identical. This is the Pure Arts way and also one of the reason why so many people appreciate our work
"
... So while my box is less than mint due to apparent shipping jumble and the unit was certainly opened before arriving to me (again I think by customs); The variances on my piece do not look like repaired damage but just different construction process, This message from JP @ Purearts seems to confirm that mine is just a bit different. I guess that's not a bad thing.
Congrats on your statue as well.
JC
