The way I see it. Instead of getting nine $100 statues, why not get one massive one that is many times more epic and scarce. That 1/3 Batman is a statue that will last a lifetime, a cheap car won't
I see it as a long term investment in both collecting pleasure and value (value increases with time). A first beater car not only depreciates but experiences wear and tear, so comparing both in terms of value does make not sense at all. Once it sells out, thousands people who initially decided it was too expensive will be hunting one on the second hand market... guaranteed.
Anyway, each to their own. No more statues for me until the 1/3 arrives... Delayed gratification I guess.
